[QUOTE=Dried Muffin Remnants]No, some day YOU'LL learn that sex is the only thing that matters, when all of sudden your wife turns into an old hag. Something tells me you won't "love" her as much when she's dry pvssy.

I've banged ugly chicks before, it's not that much different than banging a hot chick.

Kage 02-12-2006 01:16 PM

I wish I could join in on the lucid dreaming talk, but despite efforts over the past month, I have not yet been able to induce lucidity.

No, I was in my bed, and I woke up, and I saw a concentration of stars out of the corner of my eye. It was probably some kind of optical illusion, but it was still amazing.

Try this, lay down on the grass or somthing at night and focus on one single star for a really long time, it's hypnotic.

Yeah, me to.

It really does, and I'm only in grade 11. :upset:

MidnightRider 02-12-2006 01:45 PM

I've had some really freaky moments with what I guess is called "sleep paralysis." It always happens to me when I fall asleep listening to music. The first time it happened it took me half a day to get rid of that creepy feeling.

This band is very good, how did you find out about them?

I downloaded their album and I'm listening to it now. They remind me a little bit of Murder By Death, except more polished, less brooding and without the genre-hopping.

Moses 02-12-2006 04:34 PM

Okay at the part in Ticks and Leeches where the guitar just kind of fades at about 7:11 theres some growling type vocals in the backround. Can anybody make it out and what the hell is it saying?

bwnstl 02-12-2006 05:01 PM

Probably just Maynard being unintelligible like usual

Darkness 02-12-2006 08:42 PM

Why does it say he has 0 posts??

good eh.. i was browsing purevolume. i think they sound like sigur ros and the vocals sound like coldplay.

Futuro 02-13-2006 02:14 AM

So for my bands first "Ambient" track we are doing a tribute, cover, whatever you want to call it to LAMC. I will upload later to YSI and give the link. I think the tool thread will have a better understanding of what I was trying to accomplish.

DVDs out in the UK as of today

If there's that big a delay in release for the album, I will not be happy

Here's hoping Tool doesn't screw Britain over.

Just a little something for those who live in Austria..(repcak :p ):

"Tool have been confirmed as playing the Novarock Festival, which correct me if I’m wrong - is held in Austria. There’s actually a couple of other decent bands on this line-up, including Massive Attack, Placebo and Lagwagon."

omgwtfboogie 02-13-2006 04:24 PM

So now we can assume they're playing every damn festival ever.

Moses 02-13-2006 04:36 PM

NP Passenger...

Nu-metal breakdowns ftw.

bwnstl 02-13-2006 08:25 PM

Pshhh, Deftones? Nu-metal? Pshhhh

Moses 02-13-2006 10:35 PM

The break down is.

Darkness 02-13-2006 10:36 PM

I always thought Deftones were pretty nu-metal, but I'm not the hugest fan... what would they be if they aren't nu-metal?

Moses 02-13-2006 10:40 PM

(Artistic) modern rock.

bwnstl 02-13-2006 11:09 PM

I'd say alternative metal. I've heard the term Dream Rock applied to them, and I can see where that's coming from because some of their (later) songs are very spacey. I don't know, it's hard to describe.

Moses 02-13-2006 11:21 PM

Their first album was nu-metal but it was really good too. Their second album had some modern rock songs and some new metal songs. White Pony was really expirimental and has alot of high acclaim to it. Self-Titled had some really good ideas but weren't put together as well. Whoever did the production on Digital Bath on White Pony really knows what they're doing. The drums sound PERFECT.

NOVAROCK

noooooo, please not... :upset: i HATE this ****ing festival! its the worst festivals in austria (well, its for me, cause i never liked the line-up).

hm... i hope they will play a single concert or will play at another festival. if not, i will go to novarock, but only to see tool

edit: i just checked out the page and their line-up changed a little bit... they are playing Metal  subway to sally, trivium and even Opeth ... lol

Any new news yet?

JamJar 02-14-2006 02:41 PM

Heh. I've just been making an electronic version of Reflection with synths and such and as if there's any proper news, if there's any news at all it's Blair talking about irrelevant crap.
