YOU SUCK MAN!!!! YOU DIDNT EVEN PLAY THE RIFFS RIGHT YOU CAN AT LEAST LEARN IT PROPERLY BEFORE PUTTING IT ON THE WEB. AND THOSE SONGS YOU WROTE BLOW! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE??? YOU DONT JUST WRITE SONGS WHENEVER YOU WANT IT DOESNT WORK LIKE THAT!!!!!
Well see some people like me have actually heard the song, unlike you. And you're obviously not familiar with the chart system at soundclick, you douche.
what r u guys' opinion on dave mustaine?
He's fairly talented, it's just I don't like how he's held this grudge against Metallica for so long.
90% of Megadeth's Songs are coppied in one form or another from Metallica songs! Dave needs to face it He got kicked out and thats it!
I can think of... Mechanix. that's it. any more proof?
Woah woah woah... where is there chorus in NEM?
If you're not familiar with that pedal, it's extremely low. It just gives it a bit of a tone boost and it sounds similar to the album recording. I use it just on the intro. Take it off for the chorus and obviously for the solo
Thanx dude i mean do anyone know how to play that song and make it sound jus like it played by the jh himself. Also do u use distortion or not?
No prob. I just use it on the solo. I don't think it's used anywhere else...

Actually, there is no more Metallica / Megadeth feud. Dave finally let it go when Dimebag died and he realized that he needed to forgive them before he died.

I know that, but it took him 20 years and a death to realize he was being childish?

Wow, I didnt know that. Thanks. Thats the first thing I have learned through this thread cause I basically know everything about Metallica.

But that's not a copy of a Metallica song, since he wrote that.. The Four Horsemen is more of a copy to Mustaine's song.. (Therefore, this guys' statement that Mustaine is unoriginal would be seen as hypocritical, however remembering Mustaine was a part of Metallica when the songs were written, just come to the conclusion, no one stole anyone's music).

Also, Looking Down The Cross is the closest to Ride The Lightning he's released, I think. I'm pretty sure there's the same breakdown in it, but I don't know.
I'm really surprised he never used that Ride The Lightning riff...

is there gonna be an upcomming album from metallica

hallowed_ironmaiden 06-29-2005 08:24 PM

they are supposedly in the studio now, and it is also supposed to sound like their old stuff. I really don't care thoguh, because I like all their stuff. It would be nice to have an original style one to shut all the idiots up

blacklantern 06-29-2005 08:29 PM

it will be very interresting to see if they are capable of one more quality release..... or maybe they'll just produce another piece of crap of St. Anger. Do you think robert trujulio got a say in the songwriting?

So ahh, what exactly is wrong with St. Anger?
Maybe it's not what you wanted, maybe you don't like it, but that's no reason to call it crap.
In my opinion, it is their best original release since Master of Puppets. It is a good album.

wake-up-call 06-30-2005 03:18 AM

METALLICA!!!! I love them, they're one of my fav metal bands (after Iron Maiden). My fav songs are Creeping Death, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), One, For Whom the Bell Tolls and Sad But True. I guess I took that a bit too far  . Anyway, my fav album has got to be Master of Puppets :).

Bazarov 06-30-2005 03:24 AM

Did anyone see them on the Madly in Anger With the World tour? The pyro show for One was outstanding!

Po0sH 06-30-2005 03:47 AM

Whenever I see a video from that tour, it is annoying how the bass drum is always poorly mic'ed.

kirkslash 06-30-2005 09:23 AM

ive never seen s*it from the st. anger tour only thing ive seen was on the some kind of monster dvd.
:upset:

Squirrel 06-30-2005 09:26 AM

metallica dont have an kick drum parts that are particuarly striking anyway its not biggie

only possible exception is one

Hendrix_Junkie 06-30-2005 01:48 PM

GOD! I love Metallica so much.

They are so great. I don't see why they are considered "Classic Rock" when they are harder than any other band out there.

Dyer's Eve is so great. So are all the songs, I swear that I love all their songs.

I bet you couldn't make anything close to saint anger. I dont see nothing wrong with saint anger except drum sounds and no solos. But then again, metallica isn't famous for having an insane and awesome drummer. Metallica was good for guitaring, and guitaring in saint anger was great. Especially the riffs. Man, james will be able to write awesome riffs when he's like 80 years old.

Just bring back normal drums, solos, and Im fine with the next album.

Good luck finding some, you won't find many here.

Everything post-Black Album just seems kind of lame to me.

I agree that their best work was up until the Black album. However, I don't see why to criticize them so much for trying something new, and rumour has it they are in the studio recording an album that will be just like thier golden era.

I consider myself a huge Metallica fan, although, there are albums I don't like...
Kill 'em All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets - All masterpieces.
..And Justice For All, meh, not my cup of tea, I don't really like it all, there is one song, I think Blackened, I like, but rumour is, it wasn't written by Metallica..
Self-Titled, everything about this album, bar maybe The Unforgiven, is **** in my opinion.
Load/ReLoad, more or less one album I believe, it's ****, except for maybe Devil's Dance and Until It Sleeps.
St. Anger, is great, easily their best original album since Master of Puppets in my opinion.

I didn't second that at all, I second'ed the bold statement. St. Anger was there most original album since MoP, and a great one.

MoP was a major change, and so was St. Anger.

I agree, ...And Justice for All was one of my favorites by them...Dyers Eve is probably my favorite Metallica song next to Fade to Black.

JonG 06-30-2005 06:55 PM

AJFA is a fantastic album, some great songs on there. To Live Is To Die, arguably the best Metallica instrumental and the more thrashy, great drumming Dyers Eve. One was their first music video, still a great song, and Blackened, another great Metallica album opener. I like every song on it.

Endless Obsession 06-30-2005 06:59 PM
