That'd hurt Linda, and I know I personally could never hurt Linda. :(
RIP |
Paul was sharp tonight...he was a lot better than I thought he would be.
(also, WOOOOO!!!! DYNASTY, BABY!!!!) |
If you could choose anyone to play during Next year's superbowl half time, who would it be and why, and which 4 songs do you want them to play?
|
Cream played 4 reunion shows in London this week. Tickets were selling for 2400 Australian dollars and they sold out in 2 minutes.
|
**** I'd like to see Cream in concert, that would be sweet. The song Tales of Brave Ulysees is the best!

Wow. That's amazing. Eric Clapton never has to worry about seat-fillers. |
I should buy tickets then put them on Ebay when they sell out.

Hey, If you bought alot of tickets saved one for yourself and sold the rest you would make enough profit to fly yourself over there and stay there. |

I know. Genious. |
Guess who was on WQLN "austin city limits" last night.

It seems like there was gonna be someone good on that I wanted to see, but I can't remember who. |
Paul isn't too old to tour. Bob Dylan still does 100 dates a year apparently.
EDIT: to the recent question - was it Skynyrd? |
I think the person this was directed to most was badmoon, if that helps you at all, though I doubt it will.

Can't you just tell us? |
Bob Weir and/or Phil Lesh.
Or The Dead of course. |

Dave Grisman? Is he even still alive? |
David Grisman is still alive.
|
It's not the dead, I'll give you a hint "More love"
|
Randolph
|
Oh yea, that's who it was. I saw that he was gonna be on, but I forgot :(
|
Is he going to be on something?
|
Is he going to be on something?
He was on Austin City Limits. |
Oh. So I missed it?
|
Oh. So I missed it?
I'm afraid so, unless they show re-runs, but I don't think they do. |
Randolph
Yay. It was great, but I found it funny because I remember arguing with you about him and clapton and you saying something like you prefer randolph because he makes the blues his own, or does something new, something along those lines. But what I heard was actually really old sounding(he did bring out his old "mentors" and such), I just thought it was kind of funny. But all around it was great, it sounded old (not that there's anything wrong with that) and it was a much cleaner more precise and controlled sound then when I heard him live, anyways it was great. |
The Randolph I know will always be energetic, original and all over the pedal steel.
|
Do you know if they show re-runs? Or is there anywhere where I can see it? Did you listen to it on the radio or watch it on PBS?
|
yea im only 15 but i love classic rock. I just cant get into the new bands,
|
I saw Randolph when he opened for Clapton last summer, and he was easily much better than Clapton.
|
I've never heard of the show you guys are talking about.
|

Ha Randolph - 2 Clapton - 1 |
The Randolph I know will always be energetic, original and all over the pedal steel.
oh he was energetic for sure. Never anything less. It's just it sounded like quite old music.I just thought it was funny. He was really energetic though that has never changed. |
I like Clapton better :p
Although I greatly respect Randolph, and realize he is a great player. |
Well if I heard some more Randolph my opinion could change but right now it's Clapton.
|
Are we talking Clapton solo or all Clapton?
|
Randolph is not better than clapton, to argue such is foolishness. Complete, utter foolishness.
|
Are we talking Clapton solo or all Clapton?
All clapton. Oh and Clapton takes the lead. :p |
Are we talking Clapton solo or all Clapton?
Alll Clapton, I believe. |
Then I go Clapton because there's no way you could say Randolph is better than Cream.
