Apocalyptic Raids 03-01-2006 06:42 PM
EDIT: I just noticed that Pyle is Vincent D'Onofrio. He rules.
haha. I remeber watching that film, and thinking during the whole part of the movie with him in it "damn, I know his face!"

Then I remembered after he kills himslef :upset:

Bartender 03-01-2006 06:48 PM
Ps: I don't know why I should know Vincent D'onofrio beyond that film, I shall research it.
He plays that awesome detective I rambled on about to you a while ago. And he's just a good actor.

EDIT: character actor, that is.

Shadows 03-01-2006 06:51 PM

Law & Order right? My mom absolutely loves that show. She's constantly watching various seasons of it over and over on DVD. That guy is a great actor.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-01-2006 06:53 PM

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit might be where you recognise him from jelle.

EDIT: beaten :(

Well, Criminal Intent, but yeah. Apparently he's going to be splitting the lead with another guy in the next season, which sucks.

He also won an Emmy for an appearance in an episode of Homicide: Life on the Street, I think. But I've not seen that.

Shadows 03-01-2006 06:54 PM

There are way too many crime dramas on TV to keep track of right now. It also doesn't help that my parents watch every single one they come across either.

Without a Trace is a very depressing show.

Bartender 03-01-2006 06:57 PM

I'm addicted to trashy TV drama (American and British), really. It's quite pathetic.

I do make distinctions between the truly trash, and the really quite good, though, even if I just watch most of them with impunity anyway.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-01-2006 07:01 PM

oh crap, I put SVU! I meant to say Criminal Intent.

:upset:

Bartender 03-01-2006 07:03 PM

For some reason SVU is never on over here. I've only seen it in America; was introduced to it by my Italian-American great-aunt, who likes to watch it to make fun of Ice-T.

TheDMV 03-01-2006 07:05 PM

I think I've seen one or two Law & Orders and it was interesting, just not my type of show. Lost is my kind of show, and it's on tonight.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-01-2006 07:05 PM

SVU is my favourite.

Bartender 03-01-2006 07:06 PM

I prefer Criminal Intent, just because of Goren. A Holmes for the modern era.

superpeer 03-01-2006 07:17 PM

Mmm, nope, I don't think I've seen anything else he's been in. Ah well, Pyle was cool.

Kurtz 03-01-2006 07:21 PM

Law and Order definitely makes up for crappy CSI: NY.

///

Vincent D'Onofrio is great, all I have to say is Men in Black.

TheDMV 03-01-2006 07:26 PM

I think CSI is better than Law & Order. The process they use to figure things out is more intersting, though sometimes a little over the top.

Well I love the originial CSI, but all the other spinoffs suck. There was a poll in the Media Center for it.

On the other hand, Law and Order and all of it's spinoffs are great.

Speaking of TV, anyone else way too happy for the new Sopranos season?

Oh, I saw that. Wow, real difference between Edgar and Pyle. :\

I saw one episode, and hated it. Mainly because I had no idea what the hell was going on...

My TV = second rate Sci-Fi Channel shows. Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, the ilk.

Deth 03-01-2006 08:28 PM

Food Network ftw.

TojesDolan 03-01-2006 08:59 PM

I liked the drama in One Tree Hill for a while. Then it turned to a lot of drama, no boobage and mor marriage, and now I watch esporadically.

I can't get addicted to TV again because of the internet. :-|

Last show I really was into was probably John Doe, and it died a while ago now. And Regenesis for a while, then Cable died and I couldn't bother to keep track.

Stargate is awesome, I've never tried BG.. I still have some pride. :p

Farscape was the shit.
Food Network ftw.
Seconded. Though Emeril is overrated.

Shadows 03-01-2006 09:40 PM

I've seen Stargate. All I can say is that the show is complete worthless crap compared to the movie.

blue3 03-01-2006 09:53 PM

Never seen the movie. I don't like the show either.

Steerpike 03-01-2006 09:59 PM

My friend the Trekkie watches it religiously. I honestly have no idea what the hell he sees in it.

Illmatic 03-02-2006 12:07 AM

Are you serious? How could you hate David Caruso in CSI: Miami? It's his best role and a career-ender at the same time. that takes skill.

gmoneyguy 03-02-2006 01:27 AM

I just landed a job as a guitar teacher at my local music store.

That's awesome. I'd love to be a teacher but I don't think I'm good enough yet.
