its total elite venom worship with cheesy vocals
uhh... |
dunno what you're uhhhh-ing. there's NWOBHM influence all over show no mercy. tom araya also does the cheesy high-pitched vocals.
|
no there's not really any apparent venom influence, you're just getting confused because venom is practically thrash (ok, black metal, speed metal, traditional metal - we've had this debate before) and tom's high screams are pretty much his signature.
|
there's not any apparent venom influence? slayer pretty much worshipped venom and NWOBHM, especially on that album. "witching hour" was one of the first songs they learned how to play.
|
nah thats elim
You're joking right? |
there's not any apparent venom influence?
well no **** there's going to be some considering venom were demoing in the late seventies, but i dont think it sounds anything like venom. they're two completely different bands. |
Venom pretty much sucks too. Especially when compared to the when Slayer was the greatest metal band of all time.
All you need by Venom is Don't Burn the Witch and Buried Alive, the rest is pretty meh. |
Venom pretty much sucks too
get the hell outta here |
Nah, I'm good. Venom are a highly overrated band. And Slayer > Venom
|
Black metal is a good album and I like the first minute of At War with Satan, but Welcome to Hell bored me.
|
welcome to hell is a constant array of filthy raw satanic madness
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njBgG9ZOoQI don't see how anybody could fail to love that |
I forget to mention the song In League with Satan. Damn that song is awesome, but yeah, there's so much more better nwobhm bands than Venom. At one point I thought they were godly, but nah, they bore me nowadays.
Slayer on the other hand, still my fav band after all these years. |
well no **** there's going to be some considering venom were demoing in the late seventies, but i dont think it sounds anything like venom. they're two completely different bands.
actually, they weren't 'demoing' in the late 70s. and they had 3 albums to their name by the time slayer had 1, so clearly demos have nothing to do with anything. yes there is an obvious venom influence (you'd have to be a total musical retard like austin to not pick that up) but no you would not call it worship.
Black metal is a good album and I like the first minute of At War with Satan, but Welcome to Hell bored me.
you're an idiot |
Dude, don't worry about his insults man. Anyone who thinks that RIB doesn't have much going on for it, clearly doesn't have an opinion on metal worth listening to.
|
If you need a shoulder to cry on Austin, I'm right here.
Who is this guy anyway, that Gates of Heaven fag? |
i think Austin doesn't really like it when I come here, because he gets called out and demoted to omega male status once again
|
i happen to love my down under teddy bear.
|
'omg ur so rude i just wanted to catch up im gonna delete u from my msn and stuff!!!'
|
well we had planned to exchange some music too, if you don't remember!
|
what music? dude you were gonna send first, remember?
|
i actually still have some tapes sitting next to me that you might be interested in. idk how big you are in to tape trading anymore, but im still up for it.
|
what are the tapes? still have my address?
|
destruction - life without sense has given me a brain hemorrhage
|
Curse the Gods has to be one of the best songs on that album.
|
damn why have i not redownloaded destruction
|
Destruction are one of my favorite thrash bands. Antichrist, Inventors of Evil, Thrash Anthems, and D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. are great. i need to get their earlier albums though
|
nailed to the ****ing cross
|
whenever listening to a metal band i always start from the beginning as a rule
i just dont trust new albums from old bands |
i tend to go with whatever album i hear about is their best. for Destruction i was told it was Inventor of Evil. it's an amazing album, but right now Antichrist is my fav of theirs that ive heard. im def going to finally get their earlier albums. if theyre still making great thrash albums then im sure im going to like their early albums just as much
and nailed to the cross ****ing rips. just finished listening to it haha. |
haha yeah i had to listen to it after i posted that too. its more badass when they play it live, they change the drum beat during the chorus and it just makes it rip even harder.
