What the hell is so wrong with "Load and Re-Load"?
Yeah they went a little on the Prog side, but whats wrong with venturing out into unknown realms where no man has ever gone.......

People on these forums expected metallica to stay in the KEA and RTL days forever.

I like Load and Reload now that I've given it a chance. For those that haven't given load/reload a chance, you should definetely listen to low man's lyric, slither, bad seed, memory remains, ain't my bitch, king nothing, etc..

I dont know if dave did copy metallica's parts at all, but I dont like megadeth much due to his vocals. They just dont fit the music imo. James' voice is way better for me.

Yea, but I dont think they hate the actual song, they just are going with the popular trend of metallica selling out, going mainstream, etc.. If load/reload/st. anger were released in 85, most metallica fans would adore it.

Agreed 100% brother. It's nice to see someone on here with some open-minded musical taste. I truly believe that today's rock would be so much better if people would take time to explore all their musical possibilities

Personally, I think it takes a lot of balls to do some of the things Metallica have done. It takes tremendous skill to do the things they have done and make them a success.
I mean, who else in the Heavy Metal genre could get away with playing with the symphony? I couldn't see Maiden, Well I could, But, They wouldn't.
Come on They have a down right country song on Load and it still sold. at this point Metallica could release a polka record and go platinum. I would buy it just to hear James sing polka songs.

The only thing that changed was the tempo. They still had the heavy rythym section and the leads were great.
