So I had a wierd dream the other day.

I was going to see Dark Tranquility, (in Mexico City ) and I had to go through all these wierd labratorys to get there. I was walking by all these people getting operated on and this weird science stuff and a bunch of doctors. I even got some blood squirted on me. I never ended seeing them :(

Talk about a tROo metal drem eh?

Next subject: I am writing an article on Primus in the school newspaper

Haha, I don't listen to them. You better make your request quick, I'm about to get off my computer.

Does anyone else asbsolutley love it in the song In Pursuit of Vikings when he says "guide us through, storms that whip!"

Ah yeah, I tried to get to your link but the recordnerd page wouldn't load. It won't load my own page, eitherl; I don't know what the deal is.

I'm planning a raid of the local China Buffet with about 10 of my friends. Rape and pillage the place. Should be fun.

Stormrider 04-07-2006 08:22 PM

Yeah, definitely. Buffet's own. I'm a chinese and seafood whore :p

And at my grandparents house earlier, I was listeing to some Baroque era classical stuff and I was really liking it.

Just saying :p

Deth, meh, I asked you a question in the IE thread, and you seem to be too cool to answer it :(

Deth 04-07-2006 08:28 PM

Yeah, I'm far too cool to answer questions. If it's about Something Wicked being my favorite album, then you falye at reading.

Stormrider 04-07-2006 08:33 PM

Nope it ain't about that. Its something about the 2 albums you're missing.

Who fails at reading now :p Judt kidding. I better be nice or else you won't bother to answer it. I love you Deth <3

In the off-chance that you're serious...

..film it.

I had to ask - the prospect of seeing a live raid of a Chinese buffet is far too tempting.

Stormrider 04-07-2006 08:35 PM

I have a feeling he will get his ass kongfu'd out of there by a chef :p
I have a feeling he will get his ass kongfu'd out of there by a chef :p
That'd be quite hysterical...maybe he'll get his ass kicked, and then the whole place will go up in pagan flames of vikingness.

Shattered_Future 04-07-2006 08:43 PM

Chinese buffets are amazing. You can get soooo many dumplings it's ridiculous.

Dessert kinda sucks though...

Stormrider 04-07-2006 08:50 PM

I just take Ice Cream. And some cake sometimes.

Well, not raid in that sense. More take all the good food, leave huge mess, annoy everyone in building raid.

It's true though, the desserts are terrible.
Well, not raid in that sense. More take all the good food, leave huge mess, annoy everyone in building raid..

It's true though, the desserts are terrible.
My simple remedy to that problem is to stuff myself with so much dinner that I don't need dessert. At the last Chinese buffet I went to, the desserts were vanilla ice cream and fortune cookies...

Deth 04-07-2006 09:00 PM

But you need dessert, no matter how terrible. They do have chocolate pudding, which is acceptable.

Sleepy 04-07-2006 09:03 PM
They do have chocolate pudding, which is acceptable.
I could get that at my local Albertson's.

Stormrider 04-07-2006 09:06 PM

I don't like fortune cookies. I just like reading whats inside.

Sleepy 04-07-2006 09:08 PM
I don't like fortune cookies. I just like reading whats inside.
When I was little, I heard that you had to eat the cookie for the fortune to be accurate - so despite my loathing for them, I eat them anyway (if I like what it says).

But not authenic Chinese chocolate pudding.

Sleepy 04-07-2006 09:13 PM
But not authenic Chinese chocolate pudding.
Quoted for hilarity.

(I'd feel really dumb if the Chinese actually DID invent the wonder that is chocolate pudding)

Shattered_Future 04-07-2006 09:26 PM

Authentic Chinese pudding, eh?

The eclairs they have there are horrid.

Ok, Satan's Ice Cream Truck and Vampolka (both by Townsend) are officially 2 of the coolest songs ever.

So yea, we're working on the drum tracks for a rewritten version of "A Shade of Grey", anybody care to take a listen and let me know if you think we should use more double bass in both that one and "Burn" ?

http://myspace.com/condemnedindeathwerise

Sorry guys, I'm just stuck in a rut with the drums here......

Apocalyptic Raids 04-08-2006 12:44 AM

I can barely hear the drums most of the time.

Invicta_Veritas 04-08-2006 12:50 AM

Yea, I figured out how to fix that.......I figured out how to turn up the velocity on each piece of the kit in recording.....that, and we aren't going to eq the guitars and vocals near as high over the drums as we did in the demo version......

Our demo was also our crash course in recording and mixing........

Apocalyptic Raids 04-08-2006 12:51 AM

What amp and guitar are you using?

Invicta_Veritas 04-08-2006 12:54 AM

Ashland guitar and digitech pedal direct......no amp in recording. I use Peavey amps live though........It sounds thick and heavy as hell live, but we couldn't get it out in the demo.......we've made a lot of good adjustments though.......the 4th track on the site is a scratch track of guitar and some vocals......I think we've gotten the guitars a little thicker...

I don't have a compresser, so we cant run through the pedal and the amp into the computer because it creates massive distortion and feedback........

Like I said, we're just now getting good at this recording thing.

Nostalgia 04-08-2006 01:45 AM

Behemoth; Did you get a name change? if you did, who were you before?

Apocalyptic Raids 04-08-2006 01:52 AM
