Meh, I play guitar too...I don't focus as much as you do on drums, I'd bet you are better.

I was going to say that I thought guitar was your primary instrument, so maybe it distracts from your drumming. I have no musical ability, so I can focus all on drums :p
I've only been playing ~2 years.
I played drums for 2 years, joined a band as a guitarist for a year, then a different band as a bassist for another year. Now I have come back to drums and stuck with it for 2 years, I don't plan on switching again. I still play guitar/bass, but my priority is drums. I did find that learning melodic instruments really helped my drumming though, and gave me a much better understanding of music in general.

Arucard 02-02-2005 03:06 PM

I have played drums for 3 years and guitar for a year and a half. I gig on drums regulaly, but i have more passion for guitar, and everyone says im better on guitar than i am on drums.

Eitri Is Berserk 02-02-2005 03:17 PM

Oh were talking about how long we've played insturments? Bass.. for a little over a year.

munky_magik 02-02-2005 03:18 PM

Guitar for 4.

/bandwagon

SofaKing713 02-02-2005 03:21 PM

Drums for 2 years now. I used to play guitar when I was 8 but I gave that up. I like playing drums better.

I have decided that Arsis are emo kids trying to get out of their melodic death cage.

'I cry, for my dreams are in you.'

ITS THE USED!

jpj 02-02-2005 03:34 PM

Yea, but no one can tell what they're saying anyay, and they are much more enjoyable to listen to.

Spam, eh.

I've been listening to Kaada/Patton's Romances album quite a bit today. Anyone else heard it, like it, dislike it, etc?

Havent heard of it. What is it like?

Bartender 02-02-2005 05:11 PM

It's weird. I assume you know the sort of thing Patton's done in recent years, and (John) Kaada is a Norwegian guy, I think, who makes kind of experimental music, but like experimental pop, since it's not too hard on the ears. And they collaborated one this album..I'm not sure what to think of it, though I've had it a while, but I'm starting to like it quite a bit. It's certainly the most approachable thing Patton's put his name on in a long while.

Give me a few minutes, I'll upload a track for you.

I like to think of it as a bump, this was on page two after all.

Bartender 02-02-2005 05:16 PM

Yeah, fair enough. You could have done something a little more creative though :)
