Now that's what I'm talking about...assuming you're saying they suck.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 09-11-2005 04:16 AM
I went to Charleston last night to go see So Many Dynamos play in this one college kid's basement, and then stayed at our friends apartment there. It was insanely good; but some dumbass college whores were grinding/being drunken sluts everywhere, it was seriously at least 100 degrees with 50 people dancing in a smallass basement and I was the most sweatiest I had ever been, but it was amazing.

I was also drug into a moshpit somehow, bit some drunk guy because he shoved his elbow in my face, and rescued by a lovely boy.
So Many Dynamos is good. I like that Heat/Humidity song.

biografiend 09-11-2005 09:39 AM

Meeee tooo. If you like them, you might like Target Market, aswell (they are like So Many Dynamos' brother band, its sweet).

I didnt know there were any other SMD fans in here.

"I guess you could call them mainstream even though the average mainstream listener would say they suck and are old."

Hmm. Interesting.

He thinks I don't listen to mainstream music! I'm like the least hip of all the alt/indie regulars (am I really one of those now? Sigh.) but that makes me feel , sort of like when I'm walking around school and see kids with Nirvana and Metallica shirts. That's right, I'm cooler than you because I know the post-punk bands who influenced Nirvana :)

Daniel! 09-11-2005 10:38 PM

Hey Zappa, what would you consider some of the most essential bop albums or artists? The jazz recommendation thread has a few good ones, but I was wondering what you thought.

Same here. I'm far from being a hip indie kid, but I try.

Alright, bed time for me. Take it easy everyone

I want in on that.

It really sucks how I hardly have the time to post anymore. The most time I have is in the morning while I'm waiting for the shower, which is happening presently. :(

br3ad_man 09-12-2005 06:29 AM

So I'm back from my mission trip. Man it was good.
