yes it is. anyways, i just messaged adam on myspace telling him about the joke.
If you get an interesting enough answer from him you just might redeem yourself for your forum crimes.
I think the song Lataralus beats the crap out of Third Eye... I just find it better. Third Eye has its moments of brilliance... but Lateralus is 9:24 min of brilliance.
Lateralus is probably my favorite Tool song. I think I mentioned about how in the last school year, I did a report on that song for Music History class. |
Yeah, that was a pretty stupid thing to do out of bordom. Couldn't you read a book or something?
haha, i actually did read some books over summer. and it didn't take that much time, it took maybe 20 mins for all the ims, and just the ocassional post in this thread. and to the dude who saw Third Eye live, does Maynard repeat "pyring open my third eye' like in the recording? i've always wondered if he could do that live. |
and to the dude who saw Third Eye live, does Maynard repeat "pyring open my third eye' like in the recording? i've always wondered if he could do that live.
On Salival he repeats it 4 times, not 10 like on the album. But it still rocks |
ah yes thats true about salival. still awesome though. also the other day i was thinking about tool's lyrics, and i don't think maynard's lyrics were very impressive during Opiate and Undertow, but i think he got a lot better during Aenema, and reallly got good on Lateralus. Like in the song Lateralus, and Reflection, those lyrics really stand out on the album to me.

...yeah. He did improve over the years.... and guess what he could be like the new album?!!! :thumb:  /remembers that there might not be a new album, ever. :upset: BTW: Is this old news?Dunno, but check the Toolband site.Photo's of recording...If it's old news. shame on me. |
Adam has posted recording photos on his myspace, so its not old news. so there will definitely be a new album. the lyrics will be amazing.

can you post the link to adam's my space plz

Those are my two favorite Tool songs, so the line gets blured anyway. I love the journey that Third Eye is...it's so intense and dark, whereas Lateralus is more an out-of-body kind of experience. |
The singer from my old band named one of his kids Maynard.
haha i actually have no clue why i asked people to email me. wait...oh yes. it was because we hadn't a clue on what to say, and thirteenthstep hadn't come up with that morse code stuff yet, so we needed to buy time.
Haha, as soon as you told me i worked out the errors in the logic you were saying it...you should have waited. |
haha ****. you were tough though. i think you and AJIG were the only ones who didn't buy this.

Indeed Third Eye is quite the experience. I like the out of body state all the songs on Lateralus put me through though, falling asleep to that album is incredible. (me and my bass player did it the other day... yes, we cheated and listened to Tool :p) |
haha ****. you were tough though. i think you and AJIG were the only ones who didn't buy this.
I never really bought it myself, but as time went by I started to believe a little bit... It just seemed to early, speically since they said something about spring of 2006. |

They're probably my two favorites. If I had to pick a third, it would probably be 46&2. I find it kind of interesting that those three songs are all about (vaguely so) out of body experieinces. In Lateralus, it's about astral projection, 46&2 sounds like it could be about transcending, and Third Eye is kind of the catch all OBE. I stopped beleiving after you said that you couldn't send me the email because you deleted it. I would have framed the fucking thing. |

ohhh yes. congrats. you didn't buy it either. |
How old is Maynard?
|
Wait, WHAT are we talking about here?
EDIT: ooohh, I just came across his "confession" of making up that symbol release date thing. Can I add to the record that I never believed it for a second? |
Fgsfds.
|
I believed it.
:upset: |

The album will be spring 2006 by the looks, any sooner is a bit of a shock i think. The way blair is so relaxed seems to me like it is a while away. |
Well, I just wrote a cool riff, but it sounds like the first electric riff in In Flames' "Gyroscope". I need to go compare them, and see if they're they're too close to be able to use the riff. I think my riff will past the test of awesomeness.
And I really believed it. Brian posted a bulletin on Myspace talking about the Tool release date and prompt, and I was in this thread for like 24 hours straight. |
Yeah, we see through the lies I think its a nationality issue too, rule Britannia |
Awww... AJIG thinks that Britain is better than the US.
How cute. :p |
Nah, US is better than Britain
Just England pwns your crummy country :p Ill avoid further country debates now, as if I piss off your country, they might not send over any Tool albums on the release date |
That's right...
 |
