might be true, but theyre still incredibly fun albums to play while driving.
|
The Antichrist was good, Inventor of Evil was good on first listen, but then you realise it only has about 4 good songs on the whole album.
Not heard the latest one. I'm pretty open to albums that most people think suck. After all, I don't mind Kreator's Cause for Conflict album. |
I would say Sean Killian's vocals are unique but completely far from being the best in thrash. There is only so much you can do with a yelp. 'Nothing to Gain' is something we would all like to forget.
why are you bringing up pantera in the thrash thread
the only thing that can be said about pantera is that a great guitarist got stuck in very a shitty band. |
anyone here like Evil Army?

Never heard of them. Sounds okay though.
|
Just discovered Heathen, and I got to say I'm enjoying Victims of Deception quite, it's like a combination of beastly drums and vocals of Anthrax with the awesome guitars of Metallica. Might become my favorite thrash album if this keeps up.
|
Death By Hanging has the quintessential thrash riff.
|
Yeah, why did Lee have to join nu-Exodus?
The last Heathen demo kicked ***. |
Yeah, why did Lee have to join nu-Exodus?
The last Heathen demo kicked ***.
Really? I'll have to check it out then. |

UK one, Dreamweaver album specifically. |
Yeah they're great. Get History of A Time to come if you haven't - it's full of devastating blasphemy.
|
all I'm interested in tbh
|
can someone give me some albums that I probably don't have with riffsriffsandmoreriffs?
|
wish I knew what albums you had, it would make rec's easier :/
thrash has been dug up so much that nearly every worthwhile band has been found now...so as of right now it's more of a matter of if you enjoy new thrash but if you don't know them, Fuck Off - Hell on Earth 1990's album...I love it. |
Ok someone recommend me some crossover and don't say SOD or Municipal Waste.
|
I haven't seen you post in forever.
D.R.I.'s later material anyway. |
Violator
|
89's Thrash Zone was my first D.R.I exp. Highly Recommend.
|
are violator even what he's looking for? iirc they're some retro thrash band
just get some wehrmacht |
its been a while since ive listened to Violator, but i remembered them having some crossover thrash in their music. maybe im wrong, probably was just retro thrash
