Just found out that the guys helping my band out now got a graphic designer to do our 7" that did art for dillinger escape plan's ire works, and that its gona be on red and green vinyl. Im just really excited about that, I thanked this guy a million times for hookin it up.. the artist is/was a member of frodus and cassettes too if anyone knows them. I've heard of frodus but never listened, apparently late 90s dc post hardcore, sounds good

this band from my town whose members are very cool and talented and deserving just got featured as best new music on pitchfork for their new album, Wild Nothing - Gemini. it's really great, Cureish revival-gaze, my favorite song is Confirmation (listening now, what an amazing chorusss that bassline makes it). theyre going on tour in a couple days thru the US and europe and you guys should catch them with Depreciation Guild and Neon Indian and maybe some others theyll be playing with. it's really surreal to see something youre so familiar with as local come through some global anonymous medium like pitchfork. weeeird but yeah grab their album if youre into these types of songs and see them on tour! always a tight and fun performance

Matador 21 lineup is ****ing amazing. New Sun Kil Moon is pretty good. Tim Kasher's doing a tiny solo acoustic show at the Tonic Room in Chicago for $12.

i like this a lot! i can't really hear the lyrics but the progression was good, melodies were all interesting, well played and recorded, and you picked a good range for your voice. you sound like you're singing in a natural tone for your talking voice, people a lot of times try to make their voice sound some way for songs but it makes it sound awkward. i just smoked this out and was pretty lost in it, gonna listen again now, great work and i hope to hear more, please post any other songs

thanks so much dude. i wrote that a day before i recorded it, and just kinda hit record on garage band on a second take and it turned ou like that. vocals are kind of muffled and i'll definitely have to re record it.

Zmev 07-18-2010 06:20 PM

horseypie 08-04-2010 04:11 AM

finally saw frightened rabbit live at a festival over the weekend, they were great. and yeasayer put on a bloody good live show, they were heaps fun
lcd sound system were boring as **** though, i expected greatness but was really bored. other people thought they were great though

poopie 08-04-2010 12:23 PM

this jandek record came in the mail today

now i just wish i had my money back

i feel like i played a joke on myself

QED 08-04-2010 01:41 PM

you can probably sell it to someone as dumb as you for profit

poopie 08-05-2010 11:30 AM

strongly considering this option. having a jandek album isn't as fun as I thought it'd be

today though sunn - oracle came and this is WAY more interesting, and like its sunn, so

not kidding though this surpassed my expectations for variety and amount of good music

vocals just came in on second side....this is ****ing sick, as good as anything of theirs

sweet salt sculptures too that I guess were done as a performance in tandem with this. Nice.
