Tender, did you ever check out any more of HORSE The Band? I have yet to look, but I do plan to. :p
Nope. I don't have anything to do the downloading with at the moment. Still listening to the one track I have, though.

Lord Abortion 07-23-2005 06:19 PM

Tim Curry is ace as pennywise...

CR is a little hit and miss for me, some is cool, some is crappy, like any other genre except power metal really

Lunch 07-23-2005 06:19 PM

In all seriousness, I listen to all classic rock basically, with some exceptions thrown in. But then again it isn't like "classic rock" is one genre and it all sounds the same. There is so much encompassed in the time period that I'm not near running out of bands to discover. If you saw what I the artists who's CDs I was buying, many of them have never even been mentioned in the CR thread. There seem to be always new bands to discover and what it comes down to is the music is just something I prefer over other types/genres or music.

Drugstep 07-23-2005 06:21 PM

I love Classic Rock. I listen to it just as much as metal.

RiceMonster, Jake reported you for flaming, asking to get you banned

Haha, you're kidding, right? Get a life? Never. No, actually I'm back home on vacation (irony?), now starting my second week of it. I'll be back at the plate on Friday. Just wanted to check in tonight and see what's new.

If that track isn't "The Cutsman," then I may be able to help you expand your collection of HORSE the band tracks :)

lol what's with all this mention of people get lives?

Ollie- Not a bad deal for 41 UK bucks. That would be like 30 here.

Well, that's good then. I don't need your late night company during the week anymore anyway :) . Well gentlemen, I'm going to go win some money at the casino. I'll talk to you all later in the week.

Good luck, man.

And yes that is wrong.

I changed it back to Liv for about a day, you missed out.

Yeah, I was joking. I'm not retarded enough to actually say that to anyone, and I probably wouldn't say that to anyone except Lunch. It would especially be stupid because I like classic rock myself.
In all seriousness, I listen to all classic rock basically, with some exceptions thrown in. But then again it isn't like "classic rock" is one genre and it all sounds the same. I know what you mean. Once you find your place in music, you keep digging deeper and deeper, and sometimes forget about other genres. I'm like that with metal anyway, although I do like other genres.

£41 would be a lot more than $30. I get the feeling I misunderstood you, though.

Also, speaking of ordering CDs, I put an order in with a (hopefully) nifty little mailorder place I found for c.29 albums just recently.

Bartender 07-23-2005 08:50 PM

Thanks :)

I'll attempt to upload Pol's Voice tomorrow, but if it works at all it'll take a very long time, so my hopes for it aren't high.

YDload 07-23-2005 08:53 PM

Well you complained about not having any way to download things, but you must have forgetten about the R&M yousendit thread. I've never had a file-sharing program on my laptop but I'm getting new songs every day thanks to that thread.

Today I got "White Lines" by Grandmaster Flash from that thread. It has a really cool brass section riff that I heard on TV once and was looking for. Now I have it and I must learn it on bass!

EDIT: nevermind it's already tabbed on mxtabs. Saved me some time I guess!

Wait...Crap, I got the conversions backwards. It would be more like $50 here. :upset: I knew that many cds for that little money could not possibly be true.

14% on the HORSE the band download. Whoo

Nah, it's more to do with the fact that I'm back on my old 56K connection at the moment. So even when people are kind enough to upload things for me, it takes me a long time to download them. I am actually downloading this one, though. For example, loading the page after my previous reply took many minutes :-/

In the meantime, I'm watching Mallrats for the first time in a long while, and playing on my rediscovered Gameboy.

ATM 07-23-2005 09:04 PM

Mallrats is such a great movie. My sister and I quote it all the time.

Just less than $70, actually :-/ Would have been more a couple of weeks ago, before the London bombings.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-23-2005 09:28 PM

:upset: Man, I suck at converting things. Oh well, this HORSE the band song is interesting to say the least. CUT CUT CUT CUT!!!

I'm extremely freaked out by the synthesizers or whatever they are. Trippy stuff goin' on.

Moses 07-23-2005 09:35 PM

I already posted this in the Tool thread but:

Wow what a crappy day. I friggin' hate livin' in the ghetto.

I went to the bus stop to go to work. There were two ghetto-dressed black guys a couple years older than me sitting there. So I sit down and the guys talking to me and he's like "you got a score on you?" and I'm like I don't smoke. He askes you got any weed on you? and I'm like no man. The other guy asks if I'm payin' for the bus and I say "yeah". He asks if I wanna buy a ticket and I'm like sure. So I get the ticket and that's how they figure out if I got money on me even though I only had like fifty cents left. He was like "have you ever been jumped before?" and I'm like "yeah" he's like "have you ever been robbed before?" and I'm like no and "he's like this is your first time how do you feel?". I stand up and I'm like "come on man you don't wanna do that". He throws his fist up to punch me in the stomach thinking I won't do shit back. I then punch him square in the face twice, really good. The other guy tries to put me in a full nelson and I elbowed him in the face. There was a little more scuffleing and I got hit on top of the head twice and then I was like "get the fuck back bitch" And I hit one guy and push the other guy off of me. Then they looked at eachother and split. That's the second time I got jumped.

On top of that I had a headache and a stomach ache and was argueing with my girlfriend a few minutes before that online.

I'm just unusually familiar with the rates at the moment :)

Anyway, I'm off to bed. If I do get this other HORSE song uploaded, I'll try and remember to give you the link.
Mallrats is such a great movie. My sister and I quote it all the time.
I kept thinking of Brodie and Stan Lee all throughout Fantastic 4.

Lunch 07-23-2005 10:22 PM

I got two of them a couple nights ago, but they haven't been back since.

Moses 07-23-2005 10:24 PM

i did, but it was on the tool thread.

Moses 07-23-2005 10:26 PM

Yeah, since I'm so loved and adored there.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-23-2005 10:28 PM

I only got that one AIMbot that one time, from that Flypaper guy.

Moses- You should carry pepper spray from now on. :p

Lunch 07-23-2005 10:29 PM

Moses that sucks man. I'd be scared. It's a good thing one of them didn't have a blade or even a gun.

Moses 07-23-2005 10:31 PM

Well if they did they would have taken it out from the beginning.

Lunch 07-23-2005 10:32 PM
Well if they did they would have taken it out from the beginning.
You don't always know that. Since they already had a two on one maybe they wouldn't think it was needed. Then once you fought back it could have come out.

It is more likely that they would've pulled it out at the beginning, but you have to be ready.

Moses 07-23-2005 10:35 PM

I agree that fighting back is dangerous but I'm too full of pride to take that shit.
I agree that fighting back is dangerous but I'm too full of pride to take that shit.
No, I think you did the right thing. I just tend to always think about all the possibilites.

BludgeonySteve 07-23-2005 10:40 PM

Either they will come back with about 10 people, like all ghetto retards usually do. Or leave you the hell alone.

Anyways, that sucks. But good that you didn't get robbed :)
