Seriously @ Tim. The Hebrews got their story of Eden from the Sumerians, not the other way around. Therefor, being that Judaism predates Christianity and Islam, I'd say that's where the Christians and Muslims got it from.

Because there's pretty much no proof in either direction, and pretty much no way to prove either side of the argument.

It's either, there's nothing out there, or there's this force(s) out there that are incomprehensible so we wouldn't know anyway.

"we have not observed any evidence of god(s), therefore god probably doesn't exist" makes alot more sense than "we have not observed any evidence of god(s) but our scope is too narrow to tell for sure, therefore god exists"
