thank you. reasons? the vocals are finally bearable and silent scream, behind the crooked cross, mandatory suicide, and spill the blood are my favorite slayer songs. seriously, the vocals on the earlier albums are beyond terrible.

Silent Scream has to be in my top 3 best Slayer songs.

1. Raining Blood (such a fun song to play)
2. Silent Scream
3. Angel Of Death/ War Esemble (really a ton could be this)

Well yeah, they weren't great on SNM, but the were good on Hell Awaits, and his best vocals are on RIB.

I think the main reason they don't sound to great on the first two album is the production. On Live Undead and Haunting The Chapel they sound great.

i'm not really a fan of slayer vocals. this is the main reason i'll always like bands like metallica better. james hetfield can sing very well, post-kill 'em all.

WATW has a better set, but the performance on still reigning is much better. But get WATW purely for the hilarious interviews.

Not a seriously huge slayer fan, but I do have god hates us all and reign in blood, and I think they are decent. Nowhere near as good as testament though.

Testament is a little more diverse though. It's kind of har dot compare the two, Testament did a lot of acoustic stuff with clean vocals, It's rare that slayer ever has a soothing vocal line in a song.

Yeah they were the best they'd been since South of Heaven. He can hit some high notes. I tried singing 'New Faith' in my band and i couldn't do it well at all.

Haunting the Chapel is pretty great too, it's got Haunting the Chapel and Chemical Warfare, both songs I constantly have to listen to.

They should have combined Haunting the chapel and hell awaits together to make one album. They're both short albums so that would make more sense.

Not really almost every song on RiB is about 2 minutes. The only songs over 3 mintues on the album are Postmortem, Angel of Death, and Raining Blood. But then Rainning Blood isn't even over three minutes if you get rid off all the sound effects at the end.

But yeah Angel of Death is the longest song.
