We seriously don't need these.

It's not a spam thread because I want people to suggest something to other people, but nobody seems to be doing so.
It's not a spam thread because I want people to suggest something to other people, but nobody seems to be doing so.
You don't get it, thats what a forced listening thread is about. That is where you give justified reasons about the song you should check out, not just list a song for the sake of postcount ++...

These have been done before, and thats all they are is a postcount ++ thread.

I Am Vikingcore 12-06-2004 05:36 PM

its not for the sake of post count bud. this is just a temp account.

I didn't do the thread for anybodies postcount whatsoever, I wanted it to be a helpful thread, you are just being a dick because your bitter about something that doesn't even matter.

yeah, way to bring up something that's been dead for a couple of days, that I have already explained.

How could an endless row of song names possibly be helpful? And how is he being a dick*?

*any more than usual

I Am Vikingcore 12-06-2004 06:19 PM

Iai, I said suggest things to one another or whatever. people just won't read the entire sentence.

gmoneyguy 12-07-2004 03:44 PM

I suggest, to help curb the n00b idiocy, that new joiners can only view the rules thread in every forum (ot atleast here) for about 30 minutes. That way they are more apt to read the rules. If you could forward this to mx that would be great.

I Am Vikingcore 12-07-2004 04:20 PM

dumbest.... thread.... ever

Arucard 12-07-2004 04:36 PM

and then guitarguy stole my idea!
anyway, my idea was that once you registered, it auto links you too a whole site rules thread, that you have to view for at least 5/10 or something minutes. This will probably reduce ignorance and stupidity, and if they cant be bothered, they cant join, its that easy.
i got rep for this idea, so it must be good!

gmoneyguy 12-07-2004 04:38 PM

I suggest a longer period. That way if they really want to post and be productive they can wait and read the rules.

Forced Listening wouldn't help me out as much, you really expect me to wait for a page long list of death metal bands to pile up before christmas?

Cain 12-07-2004 04:53 PM

Eleventeen, quit assuming that everyone's constantly ****ting all over you just because you're you, ok? I don't like it when they bully you but seriously, you're giving yourself way too much credit. It's just a bad thread and they're reporting it like they always do for threads that break the rules, not just because you started it. The only thing this post will do is start another argument. Can't you just leave each other alone instead of constantly giving each other reasons to fight?

I'm not trying to argue with him, I'm just saying I need to know those bands fast, and appealing to get the mods to keep it open.

gmoneyguy 12-07-2004 05:46 PM

Why do you need to know it so fast. Jumping the bandwagon isn't exactly the cool thing to do.

To any R&M mod:

Is it alright if I can keep up the R&M's favorite genre thread? I know I should have brought it up before I posted the thread but it's too late now unfortunatetly.

If you guys don't want it, close it, it was my bad.
