O.K, I know now.
I actually got invited by this Mallcore (and ugly) girl to go to a battle reenactment club with her, fun though it sounds, really, she scares me a little, so I politely declined.
That's a problem with groups like that. They attract some truly creepy members.
oh BTW did you see this young man invoking your name? http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9453919&postcount=8395
I think it was a bit of misuse of my name. I'm a pain in the ass sometimes, but Zoroaster really has his head shoved completely up his ass most of the time I see him. He's kind of a douche really. |
yo! New and much tr00er name :D
\m/ |
I presume this thread used to be the Power Metal II one?
/risks looking stupid |

yeah, at least if you didn't like a genre you'd have the common ense and decency to 1. not go into it's stronghold and start randomly flaming the best loved bands 2.not atempt to preach your values to people who don't want to know in there. the guy is such an arsehole. |
YES! GREATEST THREAD NAME EVER. And ye steerpike we while ride on horse though a forest fighting each other with battle axes and people in dragon suits while drinking mead and preading that the play ground is a castle. We are also planning to make a Death Metal or Black Metal one where it will just be us in the forest at night vomiting blood, biting bricks and smaking our heads with rocks.
I am really starting to get into Power Metal. I have Running Wild, Some Rhapsody and a little Blind Guardian, Iron Maiden and I love it all. |
Before you go any further, maiden= not PM
and rocks and head are not BM bad penguin... |
I presume this thread used to be the Power Metal II one?
/risks looking stupid
Yup. We are now officially tr00.
yeah, at least if you didn't like a genre you'd have the common ense and decency to 1. not go into it's stronghold and start randomly flaming the best loved bands 2.not atempt to preach your values to people who don't want to know in there. the guy is such an arsehole.
Zoroaster's arguments can basically all be boiled down to the core philosophy of "If you do not agree with, you are stupid so I win by default." Or some equally retarded un-logic.
We are also planning to make a Death Metal or Black Metal one where it will just be us in the forest at night vomiting blood, biting bricks and smaking our heads with rocks.
I'd watch that. For my video editing class, I'm doing a music video for Don't Fear the Reaper. But for fun, I also wanted to make videos for the following songs (power metal ones in bold): The Price You Pay - Savatage Attack of the Butterflies - Gotham Road Sweet Miracle - Rush The Power Within - Dungeon Angry Anthem - The Forces of Evil Wolf - Iced Earth Think Not Forever - Lost Horizon |
Hey Dom, I'm glad to see you growing as a power head. Check these uploads:
http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9431969&postcount=4679 Communic are nevermore like prog and I think you like nevermore ;) |
With your superiour werewolf knowlege, I'm sure the Wolf one would be cool
I really want to cover fullmoon by sonata arctica with my band that song has overtaken kingdom for a heart as my favourite of their songs |
With your superiour werewolf knowlege, I'm sure the Wolf one would be cool
I'm planning to shoot it at Frick Park. The big advantage to nature is that you don't need to give it a release form to sign. |
Awesome, 'cept you got my name slightly wrong Alex. Haha, it was Arcanum not Arcana.
Man I feel like some Manowar to drown out thsoe stupid neighbours having a party! Geez. |
what do Arcana and Arcanum mean anyway?
|
what do Arcana and Arcanum mean anyway?
Asking questions like that could get you trhown out of the council!! Arcana is a sacred object weighed down with eld. Arcanum is an institution, I think. |
erm...it's not that I didnt know I just asked to be sure
/doesnt want to get thrown out of the council :upset: |
And herby the council is brought to order...
Jason!! let the might of Manowar ring free and true to the ears of the Unworthy! they need to be shown the light. |
The Council will be brought to order!

Thee in favour (from now on all Power Metal discussions must be done like this)
Hey Dom, I'm glad to see you growing as a power head. Check these uploads: http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9431969&postcount=4679 Communic are nevermore like prog and I think you like nevermore
Thee thanks thou for gratifying and feels quite proud as the last few months that have passed thee has yield to much metal as Death, Power and other works of the Metallum light grows within. Methinks the Heart Collector and River Dragon of Nevermore are noble and fine pleasantries to ones ears so Communic shall be embraced soon once High Warlock Dom rests his tried mind though the night for I and the day for thou. Thee feelself himself, becoming a more knowlegble Warlock of Metallum at each passing hour but worries that life is too short to ever discover all of Metallumes secrets.
I'd watch that. For my video editing class, I'm doing a music video for Don't Fear the Reaper.
Before you go any further, maiden= not PM and rocks and head are not BM bad penguin...
Thee disagrees with thou and feels obliged to take this up with the council. As the Maiden of Iron is not truly belong in Spells of Power book but as it closer to nothing else and can be seen as one of the great powers in Arcane histroy it shall fit in the power book. Although not as sound as one should like but never the less nay other book will be closer enough to suit it. If rocks and head are not the Black Spells of the Metallum then thee shall take the second spells made obvious by the use of the old lanaguage word "OR" and use the spells of Death Metallum to bring sound for sound but to vision all so. (Feels like Jason that time he wrote that Chariot story what a giggle) From now on I am High Warlock Dom of the Council of Power Metallum Aracana Stoic is Blind Guardian of the Council of Power Metallum Arcana Steerpike is Eternal Lord of the Sea, Shadow and the Council of Power Metallum Aracana Jason is Chariot Crow Rider of Adeliade , Right Hand of the Lord of the Council of Power Metal Aracana. And Ollie shall be Wizard Ollie, of the Council of Power Metallum Arcana |
/wanders into thread.
Did anyone read Terrorizer magazine's article on Power Metal? They had Rainbow's ''Rising'' album down as the first album that could be considered Power Metal. |
Anyone know where Frail went again?
|
wow
Dom owns us all in terms of tr00ness :p
Did anyone read Terrorizer magazine's article on Power Metal? I only like one Rainbow song though (The Temple of the King). |
I feel sorry for you being Greek you don't understand much fake Old English.
|
indeed, it took me several reads to understand what you're saying :p
|
Hell, I'm a native English speaker and that didn't make much sense.
|
I'm from England, and speak like a country lord and it made little sense to me eit-I mean I understood it perfectly...
|
Penguin - "thee" does not mean "I". It is used in the accusative instead of the nomnative variant, "thou" examples
Thou art a vile knave - nomnative case I gave it to thee - accusative case Hope that help with your fake old english :) |
ermm...so, thou=you, thee=them, thy=their shalt=shall? Anything else that would be interesting to know?
|
Thy = Your.
Well, I just had a great time playing Stratovarius. :D |
Well, if we're going to start using fake Old English, we're going to have to use similarly cheesy insults. Here's a quick reference guide.
son of a bitch = wretched cur bitch = wench whore = trollop douchebag = filthy wretch You get the idea. If you want to get really over the top, talk like a mix of a silent film villain and Shakespeare. "Accursed mountebank! Thine oafish behavior is the reason thou hast not bedded a wench in many a fortnight. Consider thyself to be owned, cur." |
ermm...so, thou=you, thee=them, thy=their shalt=shall? Anything else that would be interesting to know?
No, thee is you, in the accusative case. If I do anything to you, like give you something, or hit you or whatever, it's incorrect to use thou, it's thee. :thumb: |

Alex - good old alternative to trollop - strumpet.
I like that one. |
Haha. Mountebank is from Homestarrunner.com, right?
Honestly, I'm not sure where I picked that up.
Alex - good old alternative to trollop - strumpet. I like that one.
Or harlot. |
If you're going back in time in English, then "berk" becomes quite an offensive term; you could use that.
|
No, thee is you, in the accusative case. If I do anything to you, like give you something, or hit you or whatever, it's incorrect to use thou, it's thee. :thumb:
ah I saw the light! I thought by case you meant modality for some reason /retard how is to be conjugated in old enlgish? /nerd
If you're going back in time in English, then "berk" becomes quite an offensive term; you could use that.
what does it mean? |
Or another one for harlot - drab
They had a lot of words for women of easy virtue in the old days, didn't they? Manservant - catchfart. That's quite amusing too |
what does it mean?
Well now it means "a foolish person", but it started off as rhyming slang, based on "Berkeley hunt". I won't elaborate beyond that. |

I am, thou art, he is, we are, you are, they are. It hasn't changed that much really - we've lost the familiar 2nd person "thou". The Germans still have it in the word "du", and the similarity is obvious when you consider
German "Du hast" - you (familiar) have Old English - "Thou hast" - you (familiar) have |

What dost thou mean? Elaborate, with examples, if thou wilst, good Sir |
