"Nathan our singer was taken to jail tonight after our show with Dragonforce in Toronto on suspicion of robbing a gas station and firing a pistol at a woman. Nathan has been reading Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry and got way into it, thinking he is the main character, Gus. He drinks a bottle of whiskey a day and bought a cap gun which he took the orange thing off of and a 12 inch bowie knife which he named 'blue duck.' Every night when he is drunk he fires the cap gun in the air and runs around screaming. Tonight at the gas station he had just fallen out the side door of the van. He climbed back in laughing hysterically, and shot his cap gun into the air twice. We left the gas station. Two minutes later I was lying face down in the middle of the freeway handcuffed with a handgun and a shotgun pointed at my head. Eighteen cops came and they shut down the freeway. Evidently some lady said we robbed the store and pointed the gun at her. They let the rest of us go, but the Toronto police have Nathan, blue duck, the gun, our jim beam, e and j, and barenjager. Hopefully they let Nathan go but he might be in jail for a while. Sorry if we misss any shows."

god they suck so much.

Dimmu Burger 07-19-2007 04:20 PM

Wow that's quite a story!

Man i can't get that horrible In This Moment song out of my head! I like the second single but the first one is pretty bad.

LifeInABox 07-19-2007 08:34 PM

I saw them on Music Choice on On Demand today and passed them up because I can tell they are going to suck with a name like In This Moment.

i am the robots 07-19-2007 09:02 PM

Name's are the worst way to judge a band.

LifeInABox 07-19-2007 09:03 PM

Not when you can tell what style of music they are going to be by it. Not if you can tell it's a blatent ripoff of a band of that genre.

i am the robots 07-19-2007 09:09 PM

Oh well, my band changed our name to Save The Last Dance to poke fun at other bands in the area.

LifeInABox 07-19-2007 09:16 PM

I hate thinking up band names. It's probably one of the hardest parts of band-ism.

i am the robots 07-19-2007 09:17 PM

Not really. Come up with something that makes everybody laugh, that's how me and my friends have been doing it.

LifeInABox 07-19-2007 09:29 PM

That only goes so far, though.

Tyler 07-19-2007 09:30 PM

my friend was going to name his band "3 jerks and a jerk"

i am the robots 07-19-2007 09:33 PM

Heh.

Nepenthe 07-19-2007 10:35 PM

not funny

RetiredAt21 07-20-2007 09:01 AM

Agreed.

That's good dude, but you gotta put the X's on it. "XSaveTheLastDanceX"

Tyler 07-20-2007 03:54 PM
Some idiot was trying to argue with me about Converge using breakdowns. Needless to say I won. Converge has maybe 1 breakdown in all 7 of their albums. And it isn't even really a profound breakdown.
just in case he edits it im gunna quote this for memories.

Shattered_Future 07-20-2007 03:54 PM

Yeah, that's terribly unfunny.

And In This Moment is weak. Sounds like a worse version of Otep, which is SERIOUSLY hard to do.
just in case he edits it im gunna quote this for memories.
Why in God's name would I edit? Why in God's name would I go to the trouble of finding that post and editing it. I don't have to explain myself any further than I have about what I meant by that.

well i found it cause on the review site you called me a word twister when i said you tried to convince people that converge had no breakdowns.

and finding it took 3 seconds. you can search within threads you know.

LifeInABox 07-20-2007 03:58 PM

You are twisting my words. You didn't post up what I meant by that, about them not using what we think of as a "breakdown", and how they don't use them.

Dimmu Burger 07-20-2007 04:06 PM
And In This Moment is weak. Sounds like a worse version of Otep, which is SERIOUSLY hard to do.
Yeah that is quite hard to do, but I really like their new single. Its catchy.

LifeInABox 07-20-2007 04:07 PM

Ick, those guys suck so bad.

Dimmu Burger 07-20-2007 04:14 PM
Ick, those guys suck so bad.
I think "people" would be more fitting.:thumb:
