I actually haven't even heard Random Avenger.
Woah that's their best album. Nigga get yo **** right.
I love how happy most of the album is, and then Black Procession just tears down all the happiness halfway through the album. |
Magyar Posse would be my favorite band if they had more albums, but the three they do have slaaaaay. On their website they have audio to a live concert. It's super neat. The songs sound way different live. Samurai wins.
Jaga Jazzist's What We Must also slays, but thats their only release that makes me release. |
Super neat?
I MUST CHECK THIS OUT |
Haha, only release that makes you release. I've never heard that.
Happy albums suck.
Here's a razor blade get back to Marilyn Manson once you've used it.
Btw Koop is gay.
wtf you're gay
I have some EST, Viaticum I believe. I only listened to it once when I was coked, so I forgot to give it any real attn.
Ugh dude, please don't tell me you're into that ****? I did that dance for like 2 months, and I'm glad to say I'll never do it again.
Happy albums suck.
(we're talking about Random Avenger, right?) It's really not that happy, upbeat at times, but I never get the sudden urge to shout "SUNSHINE PUPPY BLAST!!!!!!!!!" when I listen to it. Get that dang album. Immediately. |
Nah I've done it a little bit over the spring, but I haven't done it in a month or so...It's really lame, one of my mormon homies who's going on his mission soon is all into it, it's funny. He goes through a teener at least like once a week.
Aw dude, don't mess with the ****. It's not worth it. Come down is ****ing horrible, if you're doing it alot the ****'s expensive, makes you a tweeker *** mother****er, and it doesn't even do much. I still feel the effects of my little binge. Just not worth it. I've seen too many of my friends become thieves and bullshitters because of it.
I'd be into it if it wasn't like 20 bucks for even a remote amount of fun. But yeah, the comedown is the most insane mind**** ever. It was like being Franz Kafka. All depressed and genius and incoherent at the same time.
Kafka was da shiznit.
Coke isn't. Don't do that **** man :( |
My comedowns weren't like all depressive or make me pissy or anything, my mind would just go completely blank. I'd be at a party or something, and I'd be all cool and **** for 45 minutes, and then I'd come down and just like sit there and say nothing until I'd sneak off to do 2 or 3 more lines. I just hate the way it turns perfectly normal people into little fiends (myself included).
I mean, I can get a ball for $50 (I've got mad connects for like, everything), but even with that, I just don't want to mess with the ****. Money ain't a thang. I was even slangin the **** for a while with my usual weed, but even just selling the **** turns you into a ****in sheisty *** bitch. |
Yea man the YAYO is no good
A lot of "Whatever happened to those kids" got into coke and then ****ed up |
That's the truth.
I like the MIAoooooo like thirty times better than it's product yayoooooo |
Well the new Pelican isn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. It's pretty good. I miss Australasia though.
Bliss In Concrete is a wonderful song.
None of it is wonderful, it's all pretty good, but they're becoming kind of generic. Australasia was lightyears better than this.
Far From Fields is the only song I'd call wonderful. It was really good. |
Meh, I love the album and everything they've done. Australsia is definitely their best effort.
They've just become a typical post metal band with these past two releases. It blows.
No, I disagree, I think Australasia helped define what a typical post metal band even is, and they changed it up quite a bit on Fire and on this album they're hardly even post metal at all. Post metal is generally about slow evolution, build and release, and this album is basically just sludgy riff after rifff.
Whaaat? This album completely got rid of all of their badass sludgy riffs, and started doing the whole 'clean riff - building electric riff - big electric riff' thing, which is what I consider to be genric post metal.
But they never give the songs any time to develop like post metal is "supposed" to. It's like they start building something up and then they just switch into another riff rather than letting it evolve.
There's still a little bit of the massive builds, like in track 2 when everyone drops out and the distorted bass starts it up. |
Eh I don't know, it just seems like they are streamlining their sound more and more with each album.
Whatever the case, I thoroughly enjoy listening to the new album, so I'm happy. I am skeptical of their next release, though.
I just can't wait to see them live behind these songs, that will be great. |
Yeah it's like they're trying to do the generic crescendo thing, but can't grasp the flow of it.
