Like during Sleep Now in the Fire?
Yeah, that's when he does it the hardest. That and in the last chorus of Calm Like A Bomb on the Grand Olympic DVD. |
Hey Metal Head, 2 questions: How old are you, and did you have a different MX account name?
|
Hey Metal Head, 2 questions: How old are you, and did you have a different MX account name?
1. I am 15. 2. No, this is my only MX account name. Why do you ask? |
1. Tell us who is your favourite member and why. 2. Tell us who you think could have been a suitable replacement for Zack. 3. Tell us what was your defining Rage moment.
1) Tommy!!!! He is my bigest inpiration and everytime I listen I wonder what he was thinking when he wrote those amazing riffs. 2) I can't think of any. On sort of the same topic, someone commented here in the forums that Zack should replace Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, and I thought that it was sort of a good idea, because Mr. Durst was just immitating Zack on their album. Their last album actually was good, minus the vocals of course. Flame away! 3) The time I heard Calm Like A Bomb for the fisrt time. Without hearing that song I probably would have never bought LATGOA. I heard Guerilla Radio many times, but I wasn't gonna buy it for one song. Also, I listened to CLAB and Guerilla radio like once or twice each, and thought man I can't believe I bought this. Then I saw the Bulls On Parade music video, and I fell in love with that album. I also started listening to them even more after I bought Renegades for $7, at the Radio Shack. :thumb: |
Back to RATM...
Is it just me, or does Tom Morello have one of the best stage presences ever?
Fck Yes! That's where the energy comes from. Up on the amps and then jumping off, makes the crowd go wild. When I saw Audioslave he was full of energy, just makes the show so much better. :thumb: |
is there live dvd at mexico good?
|
yea, in some ways i think its better than live at the grand olympic auditorium. I think that the sound quality is better, but unfortunately there isnt the extra concert and zach says loads of political stuff after every couple of songs.
Still good though. |
is there live dvd at mexico good?
People say it's one of the best musical performances of all time, so I think it's safe to say that every RATM fan should buy it. |
ok i might get it now
|
Yeah I was thinking of going out and buying a few live DVDS and I'll add this to my list.
|
I just downloaded it a few days ago, it's pretty good. My only complaint would be Zack's annoying voice in the intro of Know Your Enemy.
|
where is zach now?
|
No idea.
I wonder what is going on with his solo album? |
solo album, sweet
|
Is it just me or does Tom Morello play guitar almost exclusively with his fingers? When I went to an audioslave gig earlier this year he didn't use a pick throughout the entire set.

I saw a video of him playing a part of Know Your Enemy without touching the strings with his right hand, he was just fretting. That might have been on the Self titled DVD actually. Reading Festival '96 possibly. In that video they play Bombtrack and Know Your Enemy and he uses a flanger on the chorus bits, which he doesn't use in later DVD's, anyone know why he stopped using it? I think it sounds better. |
Not a single album I dont like.
I love No Shelter and Renegades of Funk. |

Yeah I remember that to. Damn that takes skill. |
where is zach now?
Supposedly he's working with March of Death, but nothing has happened with that project in forever. A local radio station of mine was talking about RATM getting back together sometime next year for a reunion tour, but I doubt it will ever happen. |

March of Death was a song, which he did with D.J Shadow. He also released a song called "We Want It All" on Farenheight 9/11s soundtrack. Hes been working with a few different producers (something with Trent Reznor to) on his album, which was supposed to come out this year. :upset: See Zack De La Rocha Network for more info. Oh and he's playing a show with some Mexican acoustic band October 7th. |
Read all about Zack's acoustic band here:

Yeah, It won't happen for two reasons: 1) There's nothing about it on the Audioslave of RATM official websites. 2) Audioslave is alot more successful than RATM ever was, and I don't think their going to end Audioslave already. |
? Audioslave isn't more successful then RATM. Rage sold way more records, and are more known. I see in the next couple years that happening though, but as of now Rage is the bigger band.

Responding to 2, RATM was really succesful, dude. |

So did you hear it or did you not hear it? |
So did you hear it or did you not hear it?
Uhm, I did hear it. Just not that well. Anyway, don't think I liked it, kind of annoying. |
Responding to 1, maybe they're trying to keep it a secret.

They are more mainstream though. They get played alot on the radio, and how many times have you actually heard a RATM song other than Guerilla Radio on the radio? I've heard the Ghost of Tom Joad once and thats it.
