I actually enjoy Prelude 3.0 as well as Danger Keep Away. I would consider them some of the better songs on the album.

Some one link to clip else that YAhooW!11!

anyone see before i forget video its savage best slipknot video
|
Slipknot isn't slipknot without the masks?
This is why people call it a gimmick. This new music shouldn't be played by guys with masks on. That was great showing some teen angst stuff, but not this. |
ARGHHHh
please pass me link |
Although I dont care for the masks at all, I will be angry if they do take them off after years of saying "No masks, no Slipknot".

Exactly, After Mudvayne took the make up off. |

I always like the Surfacing Live music video off Welcome To Our Neighborhood |
Prelude 3.0? How is that even close to being considered their best song? It's probably one of the weakest parts on the entire album, if you ask me. I will agree with you on Purity, though. That is my favorite Slipknot song.
prelude 3.0 is good.... but not their best. I like Disasterpiece the most |

With the masks off, it'll look stupid to have so many band members, they should trim down to six anyway |

Theres no way that would work. |

I used to not like Disasterpiece, but it's sort of grown on me over the past year. The lyrics are still retarded, but the drums are really impressive. |
So, anyone in here want to do a cover for this contest thing?
|
I would play bass, but I'm already working with Metallica. I made the rule that you can only work with one band, but I might change it.

Yeah you should lay out some official rules. |
Well you can work with more than one band if you want to. I'll play bass for the Slipknot cover.
I think that we should play Purity. |
I think you should be able to work with more than one as long as you're doing a different instrument.
|
You can play whatever instrument you want for any thread, I just made that a rule.
|
slipknot.......eh
slipknots ok, i dont like how theyre changing metal into this new ****, but their guitarists are pretty good, but no hendrix or page, i dont like the masks or that theyre so mainstream little 10 year olds worshop them, if they lost the masks and went down to 5 guys id really like em, theyre ok but their no iron maiden, slayer or metallica.

I can play all of Purity on drums, and any song of Slipknot. Something off Iowa would be nice, But theres so many instruments.
|
I don't know why, but playing Before I Forget sounds fun. I don't know how fun the guitar/bass parts are for that song though. Just my opinion.
|
Well whos doing what parts for sure?
|

Good luck playing somthing off of Iowa, that is probably one of the heavist albums I've heard. |

That doesn't mean it's hard though. |

Well slipknot is my favorite band, so i think can manage. |
The hardest songs off Iowa for drums are prolly The shape, People=****, Disasterpiece.
|
The metallica ones gonna win they already got bass and drums done i think, and the rythm guitar almost. and a wayyyyyyyy better song.
seek and destroy |

I kinda have a view on Slipknot, i love their music, but they consider the "sampler" to be an important part of the band. the sampler is the guy with the mask with the spikes going through it. What does the sampler do?... press the "play" button to activate the weird noises. Does anyone here think that they should get rid of the sampler and give his job to the DJ, since the DJ dosen't do a whole lot as it is?
