since the other thread about death metal got closed let me finish what i was saying about death metal...
see the thing is all the death metalheads i went to school with were all suicidal and wanted to kill themselves OR other people. thats what they talked about most of the time...it could just be where i live or not i dont know but that ios the impression that i got. i have nothing against them but it seems they NEVER looked on the brighter side of things ever. |
I think he was referring to Steerpikes meticulousness in responding to posts. It's like when he talks about how noone should care about what he says cause it nothing major, but then he puts all this effort in a response. Thats what I think No Address meant, correct me if Im wrong though
It depends. Sometimes I just like to toss off a one-liner, other times I like to be more verbose. No reason in particular. It's knid of arbitrary. Either way, does it really matter? |

They're just psychotic. They just happened to listen to death metal because the brutality of the music appealed to their dementia. There is a distinct difference. |

Because from the sounds of it, they either did not listen to real death metal and it was nu-metal poorly labeled or as Steepike said, they had a mental disorder. |

Listen dude, you clearly have no idea what real death metal is. I suggest you take a look at some material off of Death's album The Sound of Perseverence, and Opeth's album Blackwater Park. Both were/are death metal bands, but also very progressive ones.
Chuck Schuldiner and Mikhael Akerfeldt were/are exceptionally talented musicians, and also brilliant songwriters. It's not all about carnage and gore. As a matter of fact, The Sound of Perseverence was almost a thematic album. I believe Chuck himself said, "This is an album for anyone who's ever had a dream." |
drown your self in your toilet bowl.
That wouldn't work for two reasons: 1) I'm too big and would never fit in the drain 2) I'm pretty satisfied with my life and have no reason be suicidal But you can still show me how to do it. I'll even take a dump beforehand so you could slide into the septic tank more freely |

Nope. Do you suggest I check it out ? |

Awesome movie. Very stylized and very violent. Bruce Willis has never been more bad-***. |

rosario dawson is in that i think and shes hottt |
Why don't you take your own advice but instead, drown your self in your toilet bowl.
That reminded me of Sin City, where the dude almost drowned in his own piss. Then another guy got his head dumped in a log-infested toilet bowl. That might not be too pleasant. |

Interestingly, some conservative nutter chose that as the msot offensive scene in the flick. I would have though Elijah Wood's death scene would have been a little more offensive than that to someone so squeamish. I mean, come on! Not to ruin the movie for anyone, but that is one of the best, goriest ironic deaths ever. And wolves are just plain cool. |
Haha, I'm a conservative "nutter" and I wasn't even offended by any of it. That death scene was a little short though, mercifully for some. Maybe the most gruesome thing was Nick Stahl getting his nuts shot off and THEN ripped off. Goddam. Or the fact that Jessica Alba did NOT get naked

Ah well, you know the type I'm talking about. The kind that tries to get offended by something so they can start a fit over it.
That death scene was a little short though, mercifully for some. Maybe the most gruesome thing was Nick Stahl getting his nuts shot off and THEN ripped off. Goddam.
Every guy in the theatre coiled inward in his seat and groaned at that scene, me included. As I said, Bruce Willis has never been more bad-***.
Or the fact that Jessica Alba did NOT get naked
That was annoying. Hers were the only **** we never got to see. Well... I wouldn't have minded Miho getting naked either, so I suppose I can add that to the complaints. For some reason, Asian chicks become hotter as they become more deadly. |
The closest to being naked she has ever been was in Idle Hands. That halloween costume exposed most of her ass....and she has an ass to die for

QUOTE] Yeah, that scene made a bunch of guys yell "OH MY ****IN' GOD!" Yeah, Miho would've been nice to see "in the flesh"... |
what would you guys consider Steel Attack?
|
I wouldn't consider them.
|
do you consider the fact that he considers them taking it into consideration that he would consider ?

one correction - soad, i wouldnt put them in numetal
theyre more in a genre of their own theyre not liek anything else |
Lots of bands technically have a unique sound, but that doesn't mean you have to put them in a genre all of their own.
|
