Even though I love Nicko I want Danny Carey to win.
/hides
/hunts down with dogs and guns.
haha ilmao. who is Jan(a bad soloist, i deem, though i've neve heard of him in maiden)??
Janick Gers. he's a good guitarist, shows off a lot, but can be a bit sloppy. |

Meh, I wouldn't say that. Some of his solos on Rock in Rio are ace (Sign of the Cross or Hallowed Be Thy Name anyone?) He's a great showsman, too. Thanks for all the movies guys, the knee walk was priceless. Youtube is one of the greatest things to happen to the internet... Oh...and...uh...I didn't vote for Nicko *runs away really fast* |
it's not that he's not technically awesome, he just occasionally wanders a little.
his acoustic stuff is good, like on Dream of Mirrors. seeing as he's been doing some acoustic on the new album, hopefully we'll get a song like DoM again :) |

all 3. Brave New World (RiR was on that tour) was the 1st album with all 3 of them on it.
the channels are: Dave on the left. Adrian centre. Janick on the right. |
Nicko is better than Carey, it's difficult for me to judge if he's better than Portnoy though.
|
To justify my voting decision, I'd like to say that I'd certainly say Nicko's a godly drummer, who probably deserves a place in the finals. On the other hand, the same can be true of Bill Bruford, and while he doesn't have the amazing foot speed of Nicko, he's one of the worlds finest drummers.
|
Dave's solos are like birds rising in a clear blue sky. Adrian's solos are like a raging forest fire. Jan's solos are like chimps butt****ing.
haha, that's an.....interesting way of looking at it. who is this Bill Bruford? I've never really heard of him. |
i've never heard of him either.
|
I have Yes's Close To The Edge which has Brudford drumming, but to be honest I've never really payed attention to his drumming before.
|
Bill Bruford is one of the all-time greats. If Nicko wasn't on the poll I would have voted him for sure. He played for Yes on their best-known albums like Fragile and he was also in King Crimson for a while.
His style is very intense and you can tell he was influenced by jazz. I'm also willing to bet that Nicko (and especially Clive Burr) are major fans of him. |
Ah, he was in Yes?
Good drummer. I recall him now. |
So.......the evil that men do has been getting alot of plays recently
|
That used to be my favourite off Seventh Son, but I'm a little sick of it now.
|
that's one of the few maiden songs i don't like.
7th son is such a great song. i love that build up half way through the song. |
I can't wait to have more money to spend on cd's. Saw a bunch of Maiden albums yesterday, which wasn't a surprise but still. X-Factor wasn't there though. Amongst others probably that I didn't realize.
Saw the Death on the Road box though. |

Who's Dianno ? :( The next Maiden albums I'm getting are X-Factor, 7th Son and maybe Dance of Death, because of Paschendale. |
