Danny carey has a deeper voice than I imagined.
That he does. So do you really think that it's going to be released on April 4th?

Otherside 01-25-2006 04:21 PM

Hehehe no chance in hell.

JamJar 01-25-2006 04:24 PM
Hehehe no chance in hell.
So 2010 it is then.

Otherside 01-25-2006 04:29 PM

Somewhere around thereabouts, yah.

paganman7 01-25-2006 04:54 PM

I actually think April 4th is a possibility. Imagine the April fools day post by Blair: "The new album will be out next week!". How many of us would believe him?

The video said "according to the record studio's release schedule". Does Volcano have a website? They're still with Volcano, are they not?

Darkness 01-25-2006 05:35 PM

Damn, the video won't work for me either.

Adam Jones is GOD 01-25-2006 06:18 PM

That video added nothing. It even says the interview was from last year, during Dannys PLC touring.

Just another site clutching at straws

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-25-2006 08:05 PM

Huzzah for 56k. :upset: Oh well, I'm sure I already got all the interesting info from you guys already...:p April 4th, not gonna happen.

/places bets on 2009

i have a Tool shirt with your avatar at the back of it..
Mine has the Ænima eye on the back with both pupils. My favorite shirt ever.

Futuro 01-27-2006 10:35 PM

They don't make shirts in my size :upset: I have to make my Tool shirts.

mudvayne420 01-28-2006 02:43 AM

Tyr 01-28-2006 09:19 AM

I would love a release before the summer, but I'm not sure it's gonna happen...

Pale-Folklore 01-28-2006 10:28 AM
Mine has the Ænima eye on the back with both pupils. My favorite shirt ever.
No, new CD next week.

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-28-2006 12:37 PM

I only have an Undertow shirt. :( It's still wicked cool. It's probably the creepiest shirt I have...Just because of the ribcage on the back. :p

I want that Lateralus one that you have, Mike. You showed a pic of it to me, and it looked wicked.

Mines the "Thinkman" shirt, near the bottom.

Otherside 01-28-2006 12:58 PM

My favorite band T-Shirt is probably my Sigur Ros one
http://infinity1.com/%5CImages%5CTSHIRT%5C43041f.jpg

Althought that might change once I get my Dredg shirt...

Magicaltroll 01-28-2006 01:02 PM

I'm gonna cry if there's no new Tool news soon...

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-28-2006 01:22 PM

I should get some more Sigur Ros. I've heard a pair of tracks from (), and I have Takk on my mp3 player, but I ought to hear () in its entirety.

I only have Takk on my mp3 player because I got it from my cousin's computer, and rather than burn it to a cd, rip it to my computer, then sync it with my player, I just put it in my player. Does anyone know how to get it from my player to my computer hard drive? Would it work if I put the album in a ZIP file, then transfered it?

Cool dredg shirt too. :)

YouGottaBeCrazy 01-29-2006 10:21 AM

The albums coming out in the spring. Most likely April or May.

BassMasterMike88 01-30-2006 12:15 PM

There's alot of reputation to live up to after Lateralus, i hope to God they don't pull a St. Anger. I really can't wait to see what amazing bass work Justin has for us.

denboy 01-30-2006 12:18 PM

Hehe, I can't really see how they could possible pull a st anger.. That'd recquire them to release 4 really bad cd's and then an even worse one

clearvision 01-30-2006 04:48 PM

Tool to headline reading...

WHAT!

http://www.virtualfestivals.com/festivals/article.cfm?articleid=2408

Soooooooooo happy :):):)

Syncratic 01-30-2006 06:14 PM

We've pretty much established that the new album will be out relatively soon, but not as soon as we all thought, maybe March, May?

Darkness 01-30-2006 06:17 PM

^ What happened to April?

Adam Jones is GOD 01-30-2006 06:47 PM

Im actually pretty annoyed at that. Happy that they're coming to do the festivals here, but I know one they belong at a lot more than that NME suck-up fest

(im not bitter against it or anything lol)

ThePatient 01-30-2006 06:53 PM

I hate England. Down with the Motherland!

They should be playing download instead. However i can't make download so this suits me fine. Add it to the fact i spent 20mins yesterday trying to get arctic monkeys tickets only to be owned by the website...I think i'll have a good weekend :)

Muse and franz will be OK, lots of other band have potential to play...

Panic! at the disco
Fall out boy
taking back sunday

Yeah i know it's a pile of 'emo' but that's what i listen to these days. It would be cool to have a sigur ros/dredg performance too.

denboy 01-31-2006 10:28 AM

I hope dredg will do a festival tour round europe, they could use the publicity

PinkFreud 01-31-2006 02:56 PM

tool's definitely playing coachella. it's been released on the coachella page.

coachella's indie-centric too. people on the forums for coachella are bitching about them being there.

Esoteric_Creator 01-31-2006 03:42 PM

Man, I haven't heard that much bitching since the day Bush took office again..

And I find it funny how others are complaining that Tool sucks, and that Cold Play rocks major ***..

"You know how I know you're gay? You listen to Cold Play.."
~40 Year Old Virgin

PinkFreud 01-31-2006 03:44 PM

yeah man. it's ridiculous how many people came out to complain about it.

Futuro 01-31-2006 04:26 PM

Have you guys ever heard of Tool doing a Pink floyd song? My friend told me about it today.

Darkness 01-31-2006 04:32 PM

I haven't, but aren't Tool fans of them?

Futuro 01-31-2006 04:37 PM
I haven't, but aren't Tool fans of them?
I guess, Not sure though, I would be intrested in hearing it for sure though.

Syncratic 01-31-2006 04:55 PM
Admittedly I've just cited myself as a source, but I got it from the LA times, which is reporting that Tool are playing there. So any Californians who can get there, you may want to be by your computer this weekend when tickets go on sale. It is their first gig since the end of the Lateralus tour, isn't it? I'm surprised that Tool are playing Reading rather than Download...Reading's become more of an indie-focused thing in the last few years, and Download would be the more obvious choice. Maybe it's because more people go to Reading...
I'm interested in hearing bootlegs from the show, hopefully new material's going to be in the set.

That's as far as me listening to bootlegs of new material will go, that is unless the album's already in my possession at that time.

Dried Muffin Remnants 01-31-2006 05:17 PM

I would be utterly shocked if Tool weren't fans of Pink Floyd.
