Yes, fun, upbeat music that is simple.

Great to party to due to the 2 minutes songs ;)

thickasabrick 12-19-2004 10:02 PM

i'm watchng tv, and this just in, a quote from Ashlee Simpson:

"I've been listening to a lot of 80's music lately, like Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, and Courtney Love."

i dont even know where to start with this.

How old are they?

Badmoon 12-19-2004 10:03 PM

They are not Classic Rock. Their prime was from 1980 - 1985.

Janis Joplin was dead for about 10 years before the 80's

Really, she is. I'm glad she was caught in the Milli Vanilli position.

They're commonly refered to as Punk. But they are much more. The only thing about them that is really Punk, is their attitude. I actually see a bunch of Country/Folk influence, and definitley CCR influence. And their lyrics have a lot of witt to them.

"Jackass" used their song "Corona" for their theme.

Same with Lindsay Lohen.

Page 700!!!

Can't a bomb just drop on the Simpson family, they have poisoned the world with their stupidity enough. Girls are going to grow up thinking that being stupid is attractive.

oh ya, and remember how i was talking about that party last night? i remember something very funny: Me and my 2 friends sat on a couch across these two other guys, i noticed my friend sneering at their shirt. Their shirts both said Abercrombie and Fitch (sp?). then i noticed them snearing at our shirts, i looked down. I had a Doors shirt, my other friend had Pink Floyd, and my other had Jimi Hendrix. it was soo funny!

anyone else have that problem? liking classic rock makes you appear poor, or dirty to some people? maybe it's just where i live.

Woodstock 12-19-2004 10:11 PM
Same with Lindsay Lohen.
I hate her so much. I dont know how every celebrity thinks they can make an album. They just need to pull their heads out.

Badmoon 12-19-2004 10:12 PM

They were laughing at your generic shirts. Well, maybe...

thickasabrick 12-19-2004 10:12 PM

i dont like to name names, but it has taken some of us quite a while to notice we are on page 700. sometimes i wonder whether it's me who is thick as a brick.

Badmoon 12-19-2004 10:14 PM

Peace, I'm out!

Some times, but I also where some nicer (as in polo/sweater/button-up) shirts.

Edit: Badmoon has teh school!!!!

BludgeonySteve 12-19-2004 10:15 PM
They were laughing at your generic shirts. Well, maybe...
probably not. All shirts that aren't genric get made fun of.

All of my band shirts are generic. Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Doors and Hendrix :(

But the key is I actually listen to those bands. That's where I have the edge ;)

thickasabrick 12-19-2004 10:15 PM

It's fun having the edge, ain't it?

gmoneyguy 12-19-2004 10:18 PM

The question is do they know you have the edge?

BludgeonySteve 12-19-2004 10:18 PM

Yeah, I can go up to people with the same band on their shirt and ask them questions about the band. Usually they make fools of themselves.
