Wormed are cool, not just for the 'hippopotamus' vocals (as a friend of mine I introduced to them once described them) but also since they've got some pretty sweet riffs, e.g. opening of Tunnel of Ions.
JFAC are dull as dishwater, Annotations are utterly execrable scene-death and I didn't care for what I heard of ASP.
But Animosity is the shiznit!!

Looks like I'll be seeing Grave (Swe) in a month or so. I'm going for the supports, but are they worth wasting download credit on to check them out?

pate 10-30-2008 07:03 AM

Yeah, get Into The Grave.

LegionsofMarduk 10-30-2008 07:33 AM

Just stopping iin since I hardly ever post in here anymore.

And I'll second the Into The Grave recommendation.

I've heard good things about them as well. Who are the support acts?

VomitStainedCretin 10-31-2008 04:42 AM

Just got hold of Sinister's Diabolical Summoning & Cross the Styx; really, really good stuff from what I've heard so far.

sinister hmm, heard alot about them but havent checked them out yet

rasputin 10-31-2008 09:46 AM

grave are doing a show here too, if it's cheap I might go as well. guess i should have a listen to their music beforehand.

masscows 10-31-2008 09:47 AM

their new stuff is pretty banal and that's probably what they'll mostly be playing

what's the support?

rasputin 10-31-2008 09:57 AM

I don't know, I just looked it up and it says 'special guests' so I'm assuming some local bands

pate 10-31-2008 10:08 AM

Nostalgia 11-01-2008 11:38 PM

brutal death metal is one of the worst forms of music. its honestly more like rap than it is death metal.

Deth 11-01-2008 11:43 PM

there's only so much I can jumpdafukkup tbh

adb 11-01-2008 11:44 PM
brutal death metal is one of the worst forms of music. its honestly more like rap than it is death metal.
I agree it's one of the worst forms of music... but I bet you couldn't explain to me how it's like rap, if I asked...

adb 11-02-2008 05:07 AM

omg d/ling new Deeds of Flesh omg

today is a good day

masscows 11-02-2008 06:56 AM
I agree it's one of the worst forms of music... but I bet you couldn't explain to me how it's like rap, if I asked...
it's based around catchy/bouncy rhythms and vocal patterns not unlike hip-hop; it lacks the intricacies that make death metal good. Early albums by Suffocation, Cryptopsy and Deeds of Flesh were good but other than that I can't say many positive things about bdm.
