I've only ever downloaded 4 albums in their entirety. Archetype by Fear Factory, Chaosphere by Meshuggah, The Sham Mirrors by Arcturus, and I by Meshuggah. The last 3 I have downloaded this week. I do download individual songs quite often though, usually through YSI.
|
The Doors- The Doors
The Doors - Strange Days Children Of Bodom- Follow The Reaper Children Of Bodom- Something Wild Meshuggah- Destroy, Erase, Improve, except for Inside What's Within Beneath. I was gonna burn DEI on a cd, but I decided not to, because I'm sad that I can't find Inside What's Within Beneath on LimeWire or Ares, and can't get it over YSI thread. |
Why can't you get it in the YSI thread?

No one would send it.

I was in the pit viewing the worst of Myspace thread. And I came across this guy and it raised a question. Peagans(sp?) they don't believe in Satan or God do they, or is that Wiccans. I am very ignorant when it comes to those two. The guy acts like he is satanic and evil, but claims to be a Peagan.

I hope that's a joke, if not, this guy should get jumped. Not that I am a Pagan or anything but if you're going to claim to be something you should be it. Maybe he'd be a bit more normal if someone gave him something to fear.
|
His picture is so freakin funny.
That make up..... just..... no. |
I hate people like that. If I ever met that guy, I'd kick his vagina.
|
Well, he's not a Pagan. He doesn't even know how to spell it. Man, those pictures...I'm not sure if people like that actually think they're going to be taken seriously or not.

I can't decide if I want to see Batman or Willy Wonka :(
|
Wonka, sureley!
|
I'm seeing Wedding Crashers later on. I haven't seen either of those though.
|
The only movie I've seen in the past 4 months is War of the Worlds. Ever since I started driving, there has always been better options as far as hanging out with friends. Plus, hanging out at someone's house is a lot cheaper than forking over 8 bucks to sit in a dark room and converse.

Same here. Friends > Movies. |

I saw Star Wars, then WotW last week, and now I'm seeing Wedding Crashers, but I rarely go to the movies. Of course, I have no friends either so mostly I play drums or sit online :-p |
Batman wasn't that good, but in my opinion it sure as hell beat Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
|
Whaaaaaaat?
Batman was amazing. One of the finest films I've seen in a long time. And I liked Charlie and the Choclate Factory also. It was funny, entertaining to watch, Burton does a great job with his movies, and Johnny Depp did a great job portraying Willy Wonka. |
Well, I thought Batman was pretty entertaining, but not amazing. I didn't find Charlie funny. I went to seee it for Johnny Depp, who was okay in it.
I dislike Tim Burton a lot. |

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was, in my opinion, one of the best movies I have seen this year. |
I have controversial tastes in films.
Wait, I don't even like movies... |

During the summer time, I can empathize with ya. :-/ I hang out with my friends less than once a week. It's like I fall of the face of the planet. At least I landed ass-first in front of mx. :p NP: Starless- King Crimson I've decided that my next album download with be In The Court of the Crimson King. :-D |
I've only hung out with two friends this summer. My boy Mason, who's awesome, and this dude who lives down the street that's a complete attention whore and liar. He acts like people say Cemetery Gates was. I'm gonna start giving guitar lessons to my friend Jude, though.
|
Batman - Good
Wedding Crashers - Meh Willy Wonka - Good War of the Worlds - Ending sucked, good otherwise |
I've decided that my next album download with be In The Court of the Crimson King. :-D
Title track is one of the greatest songs ever. |
I've actually only heard one song of theirs(Starless) but it blew me away, so hey, I owe it to myself to look into them further, right?
Chris- The ending was freaking wierd. It was like this intense action, and then all of the sudden, it was just BAM! Resolution. Not much of a spiral-down like most movies have, I guess. |
try red and discipline too. starless and bible black isnt bad but i prefer the other two.
|
You know, I never quite appreciated just how amazing Keith Moon was. But now I've seen the Isle of Wight concert on TV and he blows me away, as does the rest of the band. I've always found their recordings thoroughly unimpressive and overrated, but **** they can play. Bands don't perform the way they did anymore. They just go all out. And Keith Moon is UNBELIEVABLE, intense, high-energy performance.
|
So far, I've downloaded 21st Century Shizoid Man, I Talk to the Wind, and Epitaph. Each song is great. There are just so many more elements to each of the songs than most music. :p Really liking the sound. :-D

I came in at the right time. I was also watching the Isle of Wight show (I own it on Dvd, naturally. The difference is that I watch is regularly and you've just seen it). But back on topic, The Who live is one of rock's greatest accomplishments (in my opinion, obviously). You can feel the energy coming out of Townshend's windmills, Moons blaring speed and fills, and Daltrey's powerful vocals. Then after you get past seeing Pete jump around the stage and Moon's hands flying around, you can actually listen to Entwistle's amazing bass performances. Although I don't think The Who's recordings are unimpressive (I think exactly the opposite) I do agree with the point I think you're making here, which is that they were much more of a live band. I appreciate their studio work for different qualities, but in terms of rock 'n roll, pure energy, volume, etc, The Who's live show is quite an experience that is very hard to imitate. You might be interested in Live at Leeds (CD), the sound quality is much better and even though it isn't quite the same as seeing it, it still has basically the same effect. I could upload it/send it to you if you're interested. |
Out of curiosity, has anyone seen DM around lately? I was thinking about possibly working on an FA with him if he's been around :-\
|
Pete's last post was three days ago, so he hasn't really been around.
I'd try to hit him up via AIM. His screen name is Viking Vs Pirate. |
Ah, I know his SN...but I'm not always on AIM, and I use Express too so I never know when people sign on or off.
|
My AIM makes annoying pop-ups when people get on and off.
I think I'll hate my life Saturday, Sunday will be cool, Monday will suck a little and Tuesday will be my typical day, I'll hate my life on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be typical. I've got my week planned out. EDIT: The eagle flies on Friday, babe, and Saturday I go out to play. |
