I'm going to wait and buy the CD when it hits the stores..

It's like finding your presents before Christmas...I'm too lazy to act surprised a second time..

This is going to be f*cking awesome..

denboy 01-24-2006 04:04 PM

I'm gonna download the leak, just incase it's a fake one

Jerzzzey 01-24-2006 04:24 PM

Leaks rule. :)

misunderstood 01-24-2006 04:25 PM
This seems kinda fishy to me. Why would he get on there and tell us to be on the lookout for a leak. I think they will release some sort of fake album to screw with people. But, who knows? I've been wrong before.
Hmm. Maybe there will some sort of decoy album or something but then again he might also be talking about album/song titles? Or probable but unconfirmed dates being posted and announced? It doesn't make sense that he would tell us to go out looking for leaked tracks. Who knows.

Futuro 01-24-2006 05:23 PM

Yeah I normally wait and buy the album.

omgwtfboogie 01-24-2006 06:18 PM

Despite having waited for a few years for the new album, I think I'll save the experience for the actual album/product. I've waited too long to throw it away on an internet leak.

Jerzzzey 01-24-2006 06:49 PM

When do you think the 1st single will be out?

omgwtfboogie 01-24-2006 06:49 PM

Never.

Futuro 01-24-2006 07:15 PM

April probably.

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-24-2006 09:34 PM

I'll totally download a joke leak, but I wouldn't download an actual album by Tool if it was leaked.

Rob- I didn't really get what you said about 81st Chakra, but just for claritive purposes- The song wasn't done by Tool.

Moses 01-24-2006 09:36 PM

PS: Clarificative is doubtfully a word. :)
Claritive.

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-24-2006 10:00 PM

Clarifative sounds a lot cooler, you must admit.

Darkness 01-24-2006 10:16 PM

That promo tour sounds interesting... NOW things are happening. :)

Who are you again.... :)

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-24-2006 10:25 PM

Marshall - Yeah, I pretty much disappeared for a couple months...:p

I'm getting drums, fyi. :) Thought you might be excited about that. I'm just getting a cheap Pacific kit for like 250, then this summer once I have a steady cash flow, I'll start adding on stuff like a cymbal pack, 2x bass pedal, etc.

Moses - I meant clarificative. It has to sound cooler. >:-[
Marshall - Yeah, I pretty much disappeared for a couple months...
I noticed :upset:

Nuh-uh. :p

I wouldn't get double bass if I was you. Usually drummers that go double bass too soon can't do things with their single bass that make it sound so much cooler.

clearvision 01-25-2006 08:04 AM

Jake - I meant if tool were to sing the song...it would just be hillarious, and really wouldn't take too much effort.

I don't see anything wrong with getting it early as long as he knows that you should treat your feet like your hands. Practicing with it the right way very early on could be beneficial.

Toaster 01-25-2006 09:47 AM

For my drum set I just rent a double kick pedal. It's about 10$ a month, and it gets a lot of use. The thing is, it's absolute garbage.. the single pedal that came with the set was even better.

I deperately want to learn to play drums but i have no money or any space to put them. :(

Kosmos Tree 01-25-2006 10:30 AM

Tool have been confirmed to play during the Roskilde festival.
That raises my hope for a european tour in summer, yeah
Wow! I get to see Tool live!.. I never though I would
That will be the first highlight of the year, i'm so excited
I won't go it to Roskilde though... 300€ is just too expensive

denboy 01-25-2006 10:54 AM

300 euro?.. More like 180 euro.. for a festival with 160 bands

<3 roskilde festival <3

Adam Jones is GOD 01-25-2006 11:55 AM

Good, Tool still do festivals.

This pleases me. As does all the recent developments

kurrpt 01-25-2006 12:23 PM

I might even have to get aquainted with this thread again in the near future

denboy 01-25-2006 12:24 PM

it does indeed seem like this thread might get interesting again

Adam Jones is GOD 01-25-2006 12:27 PM

I've not stopped reading the thread, I just dont post a lot anymore due to repeating whats been said.

From a UK POV, im wondering who would interview Tool when the chance comes. I for one would be very happy if they did Gonzo, just for sheer out-of-place feeling.

I cant think of any other TV things they would do. Magazine wise, im guessing Kerrap will get the rights.

kurrpt 01-25-2006 01:51 PM

idk guys...

if it turns into "lets argue some meaningless sh!t for 18 pages"

obviously you know my course of action ahaha

Artemician 01-25-2006 02:06 PM

I've been lurking here for the last coupla months as well. With all the news though, it does seem like the thread might have some decent conversation again.

Actually pretty much everything that's been talked about in this thread for a while now had been off topic XD

They can't have Zane creaming his pants on telly. He was so close when talking to Dave Grohl.

It'll be a crappy kerrang interview. Kerrang don't even like the band that much which is a bit annoying.

Looks like i might be back in business in this thread soonish...It's been a while

pasulpepe 01-25-2006 02:48 PM

then why is the thread still open

Darkness 01-25-2006 02:49 PM

They're promoting the album, good. What of the live DVD?

F*ck my work computer!

This computer is as old as time itself, and has a matching media player to boot. I can't download a new version of the player either..

I hate work firewalls..

Can someone give me basic info of what the video talks about..?
And the title talks of the album coming out in April..? Kosher..
