Way to kill the thread.

So, I watched the second half of Death on the Road on Googlevideo. Good stuff.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-18-2006 07:56 PM

lol.

I just woke up, and theres only one more post :p

I only have the audio of Death On The Road so far. I don't really like DVDs all that much.

Deth 04-18-2006 07:58 PM

I like live DVDs alot. I have about 10 or so. Usually I only buy ones with full concerts as opposed to live videos put together *glares at Mastodon*.

the_uber_penguin 04-19-2006 02:32 AM

That said, I would have enjoyed to see them include other songs they played live from other dates:

For example, RiR would have been so much better if they'd included live videos of The Fallen Angel, OotSP and The Nomad (they didn't play TTLBLAH) from other dates in the special features for the older fans who already have 5-10 live versions of Hallowed Be Thy Name.

It's not that I don't like them, but I always find I never watch them much, and always just skip through to part of a song or something.

Live albums are better IMO.

Lord Abortion 04-19-2006 04:57 AM

There can never be enough versions of hallowed be thy name.

Stormrider 04-19-2006 05:09 AM

I've only heard one and a half. If there one on Rock in Rio DVD, I probably watched a part of it.

I agree here, as much as i like the classics, having a different version of them on every live CD and DVD that i own is rather annoying.

JamJar 04-19-2006 01:20 PM

I prefer live DVDs to CDs as you get more of a feel as to what the concert was actually like. Both Maiden DVDs I have (RiR, DotR) are incredible which is helped greatly by the visuals. Although that said, LAD is total awsomeness just as a CD.

temporary 04-19-2006 01:40 PM

Sorry guys, but I still haven't gotten Maiden England. My internet has been down, but I'm uploading it now.

the_uber_penguin 04-19-2006 05:23 PM

I have the funny feeling that the lines "JamJar/ It's a mango!" are somewhere in the Arctic Monkeys song, I Bet That You Look Good On The Dance Floor

you should. blasphemy indeed, in a rock and metal forum...

the_uber_penguin 04-20-2006 04:46 AM

Pleh. So I'm eclectic.

Iron Maiden still rule all (except Beethoven :p )

Riva 04-20-2006 05:15 AM

The Arctic Monkeys are great though.

I'd prefer live DVDs, but live CDs are more versatile.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-20-2006 05:46 AM

Live CDs get waayyy more usage from me.

Rattlehead 04-20-2006 07:21 AM

i like imagining stageplay when listening to live soundtracks.

Josh 04-20-2006 07:30 AM

live cds > live dvds.

and the Arctic Monkeys suck a$s.

what thread got deleted that made me lose 500+ posts? i was nearly at 4k :(

No, Arctic Monkeys are Bastards, they stole an Ice Bucket from work! Do you know how annoying it is to run a big bar with only one Ice Bucket?!?! Eh? Do ya?

Jev 04-20-2006 09:42 AM

I don't remember that bit.

I need to look for it tonight.

Crysiss 04-20-2006 11:08 AM

Well, you heard it now. lol. I was laughing so hard when I heard it.

crag 04-20-2006 11:14 AM

''do you think this is a circus''

i love Bruce's rants.

Jev 04-20-2006 11:19 AM

What's that website dedicated to Bruce's rants? A mate showed me it. It's got recordings of him getting angry at fans that throw stuff at the band etc.
