Nothing much. Drummer comp still hasn't started so Jason is doing 100 top metal bands.

Nothing at all. :(
Yes there is worse out there, that doesn't make HIM quality music though. :p

He and jacko could have a contest for most anorexic male!
Well, the few songs I've heard, they aren't great, but they're listenable. Which is more than can be said for what passes for mass-media worthy rock elsewhere Stateside.

Doctor Night 02-28-2006 11:02 AM
Let's see...

Iron Maiden - English
Axl - American

Iron Maiden - Innovative musicians.
Axl - A consistently overrated frontman.

Iron Maiden - A bunch of class act guys who have been rocking together for years.
Axl - Notoriously difficult to work with.

Iron Maiden - Have turned out consistently awesome music for 25 years.
Axl - Spent the majority of his career on just one album that still hasn't even been released.

I think it's safe to say that Axl has nothing in common with Iron Maiden.
Thats Cos English Musicians are awesome!

Axl put out better music in the space of 6 years - it took maiden 25 years to accomplish the same level
Axl put out better music in the space of 6 years - it took maiden 25 years to accomplish the same level
No way man, Axl is a talentless hack. Speaking vocals alone, he can't sing, and Bruce can. Musically Maiden was always better than GNR.

Stoic 02-28-2006 12:23 PM

I disagree considering that the first maiden classic was already out in 1980...

Salmoned for freaking truth... probably their best album too.

definitely one of my favourite maiden albums.

so, how is everyone? it appears the UK is going nuts cos it may go down to =15 degrees, i assume that's with wind chill, during this "harsh end to winter". what a load of bollocks, the weather's only going to be really extreme in northern scotland, although a little bit of snow would be nice.

bah, i have to work later, i really can't be arsed.

Stormrider 02-28-2006 12:29 PM

It's been colder now the it has been all winter here...well almost.

TojesDolan 02-28-2006 12:30 PM

Axl has a nice... very, very high-pitched voiced I can't really reach.

I'll give him that.

i am the robots 02-28-2006 12:36 PM

Yes, he can hit high notes, but not very well, he just sounds shrill.
definitely one of my favourite maiden albums.

Yeah, it's a great album, definately my favorite. 15 degrees is quite chilly, but we've had it in the negatives at certain points here... it's really cold today specifically... it pisses me off that it snowed last night, and we're the only school in my area that didn't get a 2 hour delay, a friend of mine who lives two blocks away from me got a delay today, but nope, not me .

Stoic 02-28-2006 12:38 PM

I dunno, Axl acts like a sissy on the stage...

There is nothing wrong with that.

Still not all of them though man... look at Sikth, and Cradle of Filth (their old stuff minus Dani's vocals), and what about Blind Gaurdian? or Porcupine Tree for that matter?

That's good guys.
My life at the moment is pretty boring as a matter of fact. It's hard going from a half day monday to a full day tuesday at school.
I have to do an arts festival at my school in a month. I have to play with two other guys and on acoustic. I think I'm going to do some cool F harmonized scale stuff, that stuff sounds so cool. Any suggestions?
Does anyone know how to factor this:

25n^2+20n-4

I'm sure it's something really simple, but I just haven't been able to think all day.
Looks to me like a quadratic equation. Try using the quadratic formula.

Man, my life has been crazy. I not only am engaged to be married, but I also found out that I'm a dad! I've never been happier in my life. I have to give up college for the time being which saddens me a bit, but I got to step up and do what's right for my kid. We're thinking of naming him Zakk if it's a boy and Victoria if it's a girl.
