That could be cool.

the2stranger 05-27-2008 02:55 PM

Yeah, cool idea actually.
I'll participate.
:)

I suggest you start a rough draft like thread as is done with the genre thread that Jom is doing now.
If you need any help, lemme know.

Ghoul Hustler 05-27-2008 02:58 PM

It's pretty much just for fun so I don't need to draft up much. I've got a basic plan though. Thread should be up by tonight (maybe tomorrow)

the2stranger 05-27-2008 02:59 PM

Cool.

Txus 05-27-2008 03:33 PM

Very neat idea :)
Does anyone like the idea of an MXR&M awards thread? They've been done quite a bit before and have been successful. I think it could add some fun to the forums for a week or so.

example:

best music taste: ********
poster that needs to chill out: ogsorj
most likely to go fishi: htidmhsoooo
best cello player: hevyriver

etcetc
I would help with this if needed.

I'm eagerly awaiting thread:

Ghoul Hustler 05-28-2008 12:35 PM

Thread's up :)

These pages are no more then some juvenile rambling between Stevie and Mappy.
It gets annoying.
Having discussions is ok, but this is getting rediculous and not meant for a thread on music discussion. It hardly has anything to do with music, just name calling, discussion about being trendy, who's a hypocrite and who's more intelligent.

Stevie IV 05-29-2008 03:39 AM

aye, i think its time to stop it

the2stranger 05-29-2008 03:44 AM

Thanks. :)

I understand you can have heated arguments, but it really doesn't encourage other people to post (on topic) in the thread.

EDIT:

I thought/hoped this thread would die after a day, but it's still here.
No use at all.

Eliminator 05-31-2008 12:09 PM

thanks for choosing something other than the couple of stock images every fag creams over

interviewer02 05-31-2008 12:52 PM

Superpeer, would it be possible for me to get a few of my accounts merged into one.

i can has new zooey moderator jason/wish/jommy? :)

abstract: mbs has been an outstanding member of the rock and metal community for AT LEAST 4 YEARS NOW HOLY **** I AM OLD. he occasionally posts in the community thread to gripe about life but still lurks some of the major threads to catch up on modern metulz \m/

while mbs has expanded his musical tastes to beyond rock and metal, he still considers this sub-fora his home. in may of 2004, when a bright eyed mbs registered to this great website, he made his home in the classic rock thread and r&m community thread, contributing interesting discussion and occasionally arguing about neil young, which ironically continues to this day.

mbs has been there for the forums when they were under attack. he helped report thread-spawning links when those were around, and encouraged people to never give up hope in the lockdown threads of olde. mbs also polices the hell out of the report problems thread, reminding people to stay on topic. he has taken many negative reputation dives for this, but it is for the good of the community :')

now, mbs posts mainly in gd, vg&m, and sometimes ai, but he still considers r&m his home. also, he loves jason and his big aussie self, even though he does not have a kael'thas avatar anymore and this saddens mbs :( mbs also misses the good days of the happy lab that used to grace sputnikmusic moderator jom's avatar slot, and he thinks that wish is an extremely cool guy.

mbs kindly requests an avatar change because holy christ zooey is cute

Enjoy :)

I would resize it for you but ever since I installed my new hard drive (and being away at a conference) I haven't gotten my programs onto the new HD. If you could resize it down to a 170 width that'd be much appresh.

Dimmu Burger 06-02-2008 11:07 AM

I'd like to report a problem. The forum hasn't worked for most of the weekend. Someone must pay.

MBS 06-02-2008 12:14 PM

thanks wish. :D

would 171 be completely awful? i'm at my school's computer and not terribly familiar with photoshop

Riva 06-02-2008 04:58 PM

It must be really hard for non-Photoshop users to go Image > Image Size > Type in 171 in the width field and watch the magic of Photoshop adjust the height so it's not distorted.

advertisment.

repcak 06-05-2008 03:15 AM

btw. Am I the only one, or do you have all those "weird, curios words and half-sentence" right between the thread-name too?

I made a screenshoot: http://img385.imageshack.us/img385/3325/92332757jz5.jpg

Riva 06-05-2008 04:14 AM

Those are tags. Down the bottom of each page, between the quick reply box and the rest of the page, you'll see a little box that says "Tags", with an option to edit tags and a description of any tags already applied to the thread.

It's just like the tags you see in last.fm.

Why can't I see them? I just see a box with a question mark inside.

repcak 06-05-2008 04:25 AM

I don't see anything either...

Riva 06-05-2008 04:27 AM

I dunno man. This is all new to me.

repcak 06-05-2008 04:29 AM

even mods don't know everything :p

Stevie II 06-05-2008 05:25 AM
I dunno man. This is all new to me.
mods only i suppose
you can make tabs for your own new thread

any idea when the search function is going to be back online?

Ghoul Hustler 06-05-2008 05:31 AM

you can only edit the tags in the dark skin

repcak 06-05-2008 05:31 AM

wtf? why just in the dark skin? I use Light ^^
thats discrimination!!!

Stevie II 06-05-2008 05:33 AM
you can only edit the tags in the dark skin
how queer

repcak 06-05-2008 05:34 AM

ok, but you still cannot change it... the "boxes" are grey, so you cannot un-check them :/

tags shall be disabled by ... äh... in general.
