I dont have a trademark band, it's awesome. I have a new obsession every week.
Your loyalty is weak.
Pfft. Your just a poser.
lol

I'd label myself as an Allman Brothers Band freak.

haha thats what i was thinking.

what does it mean when it says "you must spread some reputation around before blah blah blah."
Your loyalty is weak.
Loyalty means shit to me, it's versatility and a large variety of taste. I love having a new band every week.

gmoneyguy 12-19-2004 09:33 PM
guitrguy you seem like the beatles/their solo careers type of guy.

but you are actually quite mysterious when i think about it.
Correct actually. Tis my fave.

I used to be like that...instead of having one band I just picked a genre.

You can listen to a band more in a week then your favourite band. But you should have one band that is your favourite all the time although you dont have to listen to thewm as much as any band at a given time.

Your diverse and nomad like lifestyle intrigues all. Now please tell us all why you are loyal to this thread, and possibly this genre

Well, not neccesarily should have a favorite band, but it's always nice to have one. But you can't blame someone who hasn't found their's.

BludgeonySteve 12-19-2004 09:37 PM

Kenny Wayne Sheperd is dangerously close to Jeff Healey for my favorite recent blues rock guitarist

But Kenny has boring straight long hair. No mullet or goofy looking jazz guy hair. So he won't go on the avatar.

Maybe because I like this type of music, we're talking about bands, not genres.

it made sense to me. I probably listen to my favourite band much less than other bands. I go through phases too, but my favourite band will always be there. That's why i know it's my favourite.

did that sound very girly to anyone else?

thickasabrick 12-19-2004 09:50 PM

who do you guys think is the best rock and roll band within these concepts:

1. simple lyrics that are very identifyable to a young teenage audience.
2. upbeat, exciting music that would be fun to dance or party to.

cuz really, isn't that what rock n roll used to be all about? until Dylan, the beatles, and their peers made it more about their own self expression.

i will post my answer after i hear a few of yours.

The Beatles, man.

Although later in their carreer their lyrics got more meaningful.

Broken Arrow 12-19-2004 09:52 PM

Earlier Beatles and some Zeppelin

probably the second best answer, i'm afraid that's where you are wrong my friend.

think about it, it's definitely the Beach Boys.

reason: all of their songs are about the typical 60's (or even now) teenage life. dating, hot rods, surfing (california life), school, friends, they even wrote about getting your car taken away by your parents. i mean come on, every song they wrote was basically all about being a teenager.

just my opinion though, i suppose

The only kind of party that i'd listen to Kashmir, No Quarter, Achilies Last Stand, Dazed And Confused and stuff is a stoner party...

But you said some do that's stuff like black dog and rock and roll and Immigrant song.

Ooo, and The Beach boys and The Kinks.

All of that old stuff.

and ac/dc.

gmoneyguy 12-19-2004 09:56 PM

No Quarter is their dark side.
