Enjoyable seeing the Silent Shout diggage. It's sublime.

Sun Kil Moon - Tiny Cities
I still don't know why Vs. has the status it does.
NPC wouldn't shut up about it. Anyway my C drive is apparently running out of space, so I might have to delete most of the Mission of Burma songs if I want to check out more great 75-84 albums.

The King

Sun Kil Moon - Tiny Cities
It's my first listen of the record. The first couple of songs put me off slightly but it's a great record. 'Like A Pen' is one of my favourite songs off it so far.

Dude3 07-28-2006 06:12 PM

Piebald
Hey Mercedes
Braid
Minus The Bear
Job For A Cowboy
Mission of Burma- Vs.

pretty good music, but the vocals are kind of annoying. too britishy for an american band
That's an amazing album but I prefer Signals, Calls and Marches.

sketchyjoe 07-28-2006 06:15 PM

Against Me! - Americans Abroad! Live!

It's okay. Too much like a studio album.

br3ad_man 07-28-2006 08:17 PM

The Cranberries
Mogwai
Built to Spill
M. Ward

Glitterati 07-28-2006 09:15 PM

The Smiths - The Smiths

Little Man being Erased 07-28-2006 11:59 PM

TV on the Radio - Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes

I'm liking this a lot more now. But it's still not that awesome. I might have to check out their new stuff.

Built to Spill - Perfect From Now On

I only picked it up this morning (for $5 too), but I like it a lot so far. What a deal.

Little Man being Erased 07-29-2006 12:04 AM

I got mine for $1. But it didn't have a booklet, so you win. I'll probably rebuy it sometime because it's that good.

I got three Beastie Boys cds for $9 today.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 07-29-2006 12:33 AM

adelaide needs used/independent CD stores..we have like none

Little Man being Erased 07-29-2006 12:38 AM

That was new, so I win twice.

Little Man being Erased 07-29-2006 03:12 AM

Michael Jackson - Thriller

Awesome x2

JonM 07-29-2006 11:07 AM
I might have to check out their new stuff.
I'd just like to add my name to the list of people who encourage you to do this.

As for myself, I'm diggin' the new Tom Petty album. This is really the year of the surprisingly good solo album, between this, Thom, and David Gilmour. Are there more that I'm forgetting?

Rejd 07-29-2006 11:43 AM

The Dresden Dolls - Yes, Virginia
Not bad. Had low expectations for some reason.

Jorge Ben - Negro É Lindo
Jorge Ben - Africa Brazil
Jorge Ben - Ben
Gilberto Gil - S/T

Dog 07-29-2006 12:34 PM

went back to Hank Williams III's Straight To Hell. This is about as good as country gets.

Yesterday I dug Patti Smith's Easter and Fear Of Music by Talking Heads. Pretty underrated 'Heads album, I think.

Pedestrian - Ghostly Life

I saw these guys once in concert abd I've been a fan since then.

Robert Crumb 07-29-2006 06:40 PM

Tv on the Radio. New album is nice and all, and it's growing on me. But it's still not that great. Tunde is pretty much my favorite vocalist, though. He should make a solo album. Except it would probably pretty much sound like this.

moosepirate 07-29-2006 07:42 PM

Dream Syndicate- The Days of Wine and Roses
Polvo- Today's Active Lifestyles

Zebra 07-29-2006 10:31 PM

Blackalicious - Blazing Arrow

JonM 07-29-2006 10:40 PM

Charles Mingus, Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, et al.

Sense a theme?

Sepstrup 07-29-2006 10:46 PM

I'm majorly digging Tom Waits. It's basically all I listen to these days. I keep buying more albums. I'll have all of them soon enough.

Tangy zizzle 07-29-2006 10:59 PM

Cobra Khan
The Datsuns - Stuck Here For Days ep
Mastodon - Remission

Dice 07-29-2006 11:05 PM

Matisyahu - Youth / I have a feeling he's from Israel, I'm not certain. But he does Reggae which is really cool and laid back.

Pressure 4-5

Shapeshifters - Sound Advice / A cross between Electronica & Jazz I guess.

Styles Of Beyond - 2000 Fold / A hiphop group from around the 90s, I really only discovered them lately, and I think they're great.

Tangy zizzle 07-29-2006 11:24 PM

the shit does that mean?

Zappa 07-29-2006 11:37 PM
Charles Mingus, Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, et al.

Jaco and Victor will warp your mind! No one likes the lead-bassist. Listen to Ray Brown and Scott LaFaro.
