Yes it does, this is all I've heard from them though. Do you know if they have any good albums after they became Banished?

How are you liking it?

Porcupine Tree - stupid dream.<3

Well it's my second listen. Compared to Kilimanjaro, it's darker, more ambient and it has less catchy melodies. I'm sure that it'll grow on me like Kilimanjaro.

I've always been meaning to listen to clutch where do i start
|
Pure Rock Fury, in particular "Sinkemlow", "Pure Rock Fury", "Smoke Banshee". "Careful With That Mic"'s a good one too, though you have to be careful not to react as you would nu-metal/rap-rock. Neil Fallon didn't want to include it on the album because he didn't want people to make that connection (the album was out in 2001), but it's much better than that. If you listen to that album and you don't want to spit heartily into the dirt then you're not going to like Clutch. Which would be a crying shame
Then Robot Hive/Exodus, listen to "Burning Beard", "Incomparabel Mr. Flannery" and "Gravel Road", which is a semi-cover, using lyrics by Mississippi Fred McDowell. Then on Blast Tyrant, try "Army of Bono", "Cypress Grove", "Subtle Hustle" and you can't avoid "Mob Goes Wild", but why would you want to? Then onto Elephant Riders, try "Soapmakers" and "Elephant Riders". The production is a bit of a step back from the others I've suggested, and isn't as sharp, but it's still a great album. After that, go nuts :) I haven't listed any early stuff because Clutch weren't especially accessible until they discovered weed, and Transnational Speedway League can be a bit hard going if you don't already like the band. Beale Street is also a great album, but it's let down more than most by the production. Not that the production's bad, but it's a little soft and doesn't hit as hard as their rest. Once you're into Clutch, see 'em live (they tour all the time) and you'll appreciate the stuff off've Beale Street all the more. New album out this year :D Also check out Bakerton Group, they're ostensibly Clutch under a different name, and Fallon doesn't sing. |
Listening to the whole Edge of Sanity discography today, album by album, song by song. It's very fun, I might even do some reviews if I feel like it.

Damn I wasn't expecting that in-depth of a post.
But okay, I'll start downloading! |
Hehe, I didn't mean to type that much, I'm just in essay writing mode :P
