I guess I'm the biggest chav mother, then, when you coalesce those two usertitles together.

I also like to think that I know my geography. I won a geography bee in elementary school

A little child with a bee that can do Geography could be devastating
Well, I'd say a lot of Americans suck at geography, I always have to explain where exactly I'm from. No, Belgium is not in France.
How come you are never on MSN anymore?

Or have you just changed your account without telling me :upset:
Med repped me for my Tarot thread back in May. After that, Bartender negged me for the double post I also got banned for. And Trilemma negged me during his period of unprofessionalism.
I'm still waiting to be able to rep you again, to rep you for your Spotlight threads. I keep getting the spread around message.

I don't understand.

magik - thanks for letting me know about that album being available on the site now.

I can just never really be bothered with it.

No problem.

Me too, it's so emotional. It's been a while since I last heard it. I hate it when people say that such music (shred, technical) only appeals to guitarists that want to improve their technique.
My uncle comes from Greece.
haha, he does? Say "geia" to him :p

greek people are everywhere. Half of Justin's (NJMetalMeister) family is greek too :D

Bartender 07-21-2005 01:41 PM
I always have to explain that Scotland isn't part of England.
I've had to correct a fair few Americans over the years too, but to be fair I've also encountered sometimes staggering stupidity from people in south of England, regarding Newcastle.

NP The Beta Band - The Three EPs

This music is making me sleepy, in a good way. And for some reason I'm very aware they're a Scottish band at the moment.

ATM 07-21-2005 01:57 PM

I haven't heard much from the Beta Band, but they are quite good.

Say Hi to Your Mom are playing near me soon, I can't wait!

Also, Kaiser Chiefs tomorow :D

Arucard 07-21-2005 02:08 PM

Kaiser Chiefs are in America? They are a pretty good band, if not slightly clichéd. They are basically doing what all of the new indie-pop bands are doing in England now, but relaitvly well. Still not as good as Bloc Party.

And also, i have discovered the wonders of Hate Eternal. They rule so much. The end.

ATM 07-21-2005 02:09 PM

I am just excited to get drunk and dance around. I hear their live show is a lot of fun.

munky_magik 07-21-2005 02:10 PM

Yeah, their live show is pretty hyped up.
Though that is mostly by the mainstream British media, which includes people like Fearne Cotton :-/, so I'm not too sure what to make of them.

ATM 07-21-2005 02:21 PM

Whatever the case, shows are always fun.

Munky, how hard would it be for me to find a Spiritual Beggars album?

Stoic 07-21-2005 02:27 PM

Cain 07-21-2005 02:57 PM

Not the biggest fan of the Kaiser Chefs. On thefacebook.com, me and my roommate and a few friends have a group called "Riot Predicters" because we would dance around our room making fun of their hit "I Predict a Riot," singing the chorus in obnoxious voices. We were all thoroughly distressed at the idea that they were "the next big thing."

I'm sure their live show is fun though. But I would have to be drunk.

ATM 07-21-2005 02:58 PM

I'll be drunk, don't worry.

Anyways, I'm not sure what I want to do tonight.

Steerpike 07-21-2005 03:01 PM

Cain, have you gotten a chance to read "Pickman's Model" yet? I hate to sound like your dad asking aoubt homework, but...

ATM 07-21-2005 03:02 PM

 I just found the strangest cover of Don't Fear the Reaper in my mp3s.

No. :(

Now that my job is officially ended (no more work at all) I am likely to be less exhausted, and will certainly be running around less, which means sitting down with books will be an option once more, where it honestly hasn't recently.

ATM 07-21-2005 03:04 PM

I just applied at a local music shop. They seemed pretty interested.

Lord Abortion 07-21-2005 03:26 PM

Well, let me know. You have my e-mail address, so it should be easy to get in contact with me if you need to.
Alex- you are more English than alot of Englishmen I know
I never thought of myself as very English is the weird thing.

Stoic 07-21-2005 04:21 PM

Steerpike 07-21-2005 04:23 PM
^you should check the power metal thread now! :p
Oh, I did. But again, I never thought I was that English. I always had myself figured for just plain continental.

Arucard 07-21-2005 05:15 PM

I'm thinkin of doing English at Uni, but what grades would i need to get in? That is mainly directed at Lord Abortion.

And Steerpike, i've been meaning to ask you this, whats your faverouite Angra album/song?
I'm thinkin of doing English at Uni, but what grades would i need to get in? That is mainly directed at Lord Abortion.

I think it depends on where and what you apply for exaclty.

Bartender 07-21-2005 05:26 PM

Yeah, most of it depends on which University you apply for. It also depends on the subjects, but more on the specifics of the course (how many other people want to take it, for example) rather than just the subject on it's own.

Morning all.

Steerpike 07-21-2005 05:30 PM
And Steerpike, i've been meaning to ask you this, whats your faverouite Angra album/song?
Hmm... I'd have to say I really like Rebirth the best. I don't really have a favorite song, though if I'd have to pick it would probably be Heroes of Sand. Everyone's seen me whoring it often enough.

munky_magik 07-21-2005 05:37 PM

Good song. G'night.

Moses 07-21-2005 06:06 PM

I just got Drumkit from Hell and it is like the best thing I've ever downloaded.

Shattered_Future 07-21-2005 06:09 PM

I can't find a freaking drum program for Mac...

They either:

1. Cost riduculous amounts of cash
2. Aren't compatible with my computer
3. Are utter crap

It sucks...

RCA 07-21-2005 06:14 PM
I just got Drumkit from Hell and it is like the best thing I've ever downloaded.
Did you buy it, or was it a free download? I've been looking for that for awhile now.

Moses 07-21-2005 06:15 PM

I got it off Limewire.

RCA 07-21-2005 06:17 PM
I got it off Limewire.
No shit? Whoa.

EDIT: Schweet, found it. :D
