I'll send Remedy Lane if you'd like.
Go for it, man. I need to give some of it a closer listen anyway.

Werny 01-12-2006 12:09 AM
Yeah, I was thinking about that after I posted that comment.

Alot of people check out Pig Destroyer because of my fan-boyism, and they're dissapointed. Because I act like it;'s the best thing in the world.

But to me, it is :p
I checked them out lastnight.

Of course, by 'checked them out' I mean downloaded the whole album of Terrifyer.

InTENSE! Your fanboyism is well-founded!

I guess I'm that other half... I have never liked Pig Destroyer at all.

For me they have always been really awful... IMO though.

Adam Jones is GOD 01-12-2006 05:32 AM

At least Blair has finally come out and admitted its a Spring release now.

Though its pretty ghey that not even blair knows if the DVDs have been released in the UK, (btw, they havent ) so lets hope they get their act togther better with the actual album release.

denboy 01-12-2006 05:37 AM

kurrpt 01-12-2006 08:15 AM

damn sam...

id guess MAY then :D

deadinholywood 01-12-2006 08:30 AM
This is great, I'm new here but Tool is genius, I'm curious, are there any other bands that'd be worth listening to to a die hard tool fan?
Try Cog they're a band from australia that i would compare with Tool, check their first two eps (just visiting parts 1 and 2) rather than the recent full length The New Normal though.

No way, man, I'd say once the music is actually FINISHED (I don't think mixing is the final production stage), it seems to take at least 2.5-3 months to be released. Usually longer.

forelander 01-12-2006 09:00 AM

i dunno if its been said in these 772 pages anywhere, but are you guys aware that this thread title refers to "tool's ball's", as in testes.

nowitzki 01-12-2006 09:06 AM

Doesn't it mean "The eggs of Tool"

kurrpt 01-12-2006 09:18 AM

yea , urrite
i dunno if its been said in these 772 pages anywhere, but are you guys aware that this thread title refers to "tool's ball's", as in testes.
you know that only just now hit me

denboy 01-12-2006 10:03 AM
Doesn't it mean "The eggs of Tool"
Eier means more than one thing in german

Shadius 01-12-2006 10:24 AM

Yes. It's either the eggs, or balls, of Tool.

pasulpepe 01-12-2006 11:51 AM

balls?

kurrpt 01-12-2006 12:28 PM

no way

its the eggs of satan. Its a recipe, that keeps saying "and no eggs"

nowitzki 01-12-2006 12:31 PM

I thought ball was Ball in German. and Eier is eggs. Unless Eier is also slang for testes?

kurrpt 01-12-2006 12:40 PM

even if it is...

you are taking it out of context

nowitzki 01-12-2006 01:01 PM

I agree. So there you go forelander.

kurrpt 01-12-2006 01:01 PM
I agree. So there you go forelander.
:chug:

Lukeh 01-12-2006 01:03 PM

Eier is slang for testes, but traditionally means "eggs".

pasulpepe 01-12-2006 02:37 PM

this is kind of a pointless argument

MidnightRider 01-12-2006 02:38 PM

So what's the deal with Die Eier Von Satan? I know it's some recipe, but is there an underlying meaning to it?

ShadowMan 01-12-2006 02:41 PM

It's one of the tracks on aenima. It's meant to be a parody of Hitler. They are doing nothing more than shouting a recipe, but with such energy that anyone will follow.

Kage 01-12-2006 02:58 PM
It's one of the tracks on aenima. It's meant to be a parody of Hitler. They are doing nothing more than shouting a recipe, but with such energy that anyone will follow.
I never thought of it that way, but that's really true.

Jerzzzey 01-12-2006 03:00 PM
Instead of being the resident a.s.s.hole on the Tool thread, I've uploaded the new Puscifer (Maynard's side project) song on the upcoming Underworld Evolution soundtrack. Took a long *** time to find because the soundtrack isn't even released yet.

Maynard sounds a bit diffrent, decent song.

MidnightRider 01-12-2006 03:06 PM
Maynard sounds a bit diffrent, decent song.
Yeah he does, I didn't like it that much.

got tool? 01-12-2006 04:04 PM
It's one of the tracks on aenima. It's meant to be a parody of Hitler. They are doing nothing more than shouting a recipe, but with such energy that anyone will follow.
I was also under the impression that since they say that we should "believe nothing" and that nothing should be taken at face value, this song was meant as an example of this. But thats just me.

denboy 01-12-2006 04:14 PM
even if it is...

you are taking it out of context
It's quite obvious that it's supposed to have a dual meaning.. It's a joke

Shadius 01-12-2006 04:25 PM
It's quite obvious that it's supposed to have a dual meaning.. It's a joke
Yeah, exactly. It's not being taken out of context, you honestly think Tool would leave an ambiguous meaning like that without it being a joke? :p

Fear not my friend, as posted on Toolshed, they will be released Feb. 6th! :thumb:

I ordered mine off amazon.com, got them a week or so ago now.

YouGottaBeCrazy 01-12-2006 09:12 PM

Hooray for a real Toolband update. Most straightforward writing I've ever read from Blair. I'm pretty intrigued by the fact that there's voice overs on the album...

Moses 01-12-2006 09:15 PM
It's one of the tracks on aenima. It's meant to be a parody of Hitler. They are doing nothing more than shouting a recipe, but with such energy that anyone will follow.
It's very satyrical. We should look at it as an example that everything is not what it seems, which is what I think the band is trying to tell us in that track.
