It's wierd.

I got my Iron Maiden ticket free, yet I've been feeling oddly depressed lately.

So confusing.

Maybe it's because I was at a Placebo gig last night.
free...ticket....?!?!?!

the_uber_penguin 04-12-2006 01:42 PM

Not entirely free.

I got a £50 Ticketmaster voucher for by birthday, which covered the cost of the ticket, and my friends ticket. He's paying me back for his ticket, leaving me £20 in the black to pay for my transport to and from the show (i.e. train and tube fares) and get something to eat after/drink during the show.

:D

Still feeling oddly depressed, and I have no idea why. Placebo are a good band live...

get a girlfriend. i've been ridiculously happy for most of the last month and a bit for that reason. and i'm slowly turning her onto metal...she likes Rainmaker, i made her listen to it on this radio blog thing she goes on, when i was at hers yesterday \m/

EDIT: or listen to shitloads of power metal, Rhapsody always cheers me up. it must be the really cheesy voiceovers.

blue3 04-12-2006 04:36 PM

Listening to hair metal makes me happy. But I think that's just me, haha.

JamJar 04-12-2006 04:39 PM

Eww... Hair Metal. Power Metal makes me happy.

Riva 04-12-2006 04:42 PM

I'm working on the first three words.

There was a very hot girl there I was chatting to. We were getting on so well and flirting like anything, then her friend stole her for a few minutes, then she came back to in front of me, and sent a text, then told me apolagetically:
"My friend told me to text my boyfriend."

Me: "Ah."

Her: "She's [her friend is] very overprotective."

Yeah, singleness sucks.

Rhapsody...are they the band I saw on Slovak TV when I was in Slovakia about 18 months ago, who had Christopher Lee do a line of the song?

They were awesome!

Josh 04-13-2006 03:16 AM

on the girl thing: i was at a party in february, i can't remember most of it. but i came home with a phone number, she started emailing me, and so on.

yeh it is Rhapsody who get Christopher Lee to do the voiceovers, hehe. so cheesy, yet so great.

Girls laugh at me when i say i like iron maiden :(

crag 04-13-2006 04:16 AM

Most people laugh at me when i say i like Maiden:(

one of my favourites.
Crag's friend: ''what are you listening to?''
Crag: ''Iron Maiden''
Crag's friend: ''what are you listening to a bunch of old people for''
Crag: ''  ''

Josh 04-13-2006 05:37 AM

heh, my gf liked Rainmaker , so i'm gonna get her listening to more and more and more metal.....
although at the moment her music taste could be worse, it's a lot of pop-punk stuff and too much hideous dance and r+b, so that's the bit i'm working on.

people used to wind me up for listening to maiden by saying they were crap and old, then i pointed out that they still have top 10 albums, and are still touring after getting on for 30 years, and have one of the world's largest fan-bases ever. then they shut up.

-The Frank 04-13-2006 05:50 AM

So, all my iron maiden on computer just got deleted......................

Josh 04-13-2006 05:51 AM
So, all my iron maiden on computer just got deleted......................
how/why/who/kill them.

-The Frank 04-13-2006 05:54 AM

Since i only have 27mb on my C:drive (:(), i ddecided i would move all my maiden to the D:drive, and ta da, it all got deleted for some reason.

****!!!!

Josh 04-13-2006 05:57 AM

not good.
i only store my music on my mp3 player, so if i lose that...
but i'm getting an external hard drive this summer (300gb  ) so all my music can go on there.

-The Frank 04-13-2006 06:04 AM

So, im on the process of putting all this crap back on,i guess ill be having a late night.............

Josh 04-13-2006 06:06 AM

heh, ripping loads of music sucks.
i left my mp3 player on all night, after i'd been listening to it in bed. now i'm having to charge it again, grr. i thought i turned it off before i went to sleep :(

-The Frank 04-13-2006 06:11 AM

So, i was thinking about this yesterday for the golden years tour. Since on SSOASS and world slavery tour, they played ROTM and SSOASS, do you think we'll get both those durring the golden years tours?
If so

Josh 04-13-2006 06:14 AM

quite possibly. i may take a spare pare of boxers to that tour, just in case i cream myself. although i'd rather have Powerslave than SSOASS.

-The Frank 04-13-2006 06:16 AM

As long as they play ROTM! I would actually like to see them try flash of the blaed out live.....

JamJar 04-13-2006 06:33 AM

Do you think that they might just possibly put the Live After Death concert on the Golden Years DVD... that would make everyone cream their pants.

And Flash Of The Blade would be amazing live. The guitar harmonies. :drools:

I would think so, that and maiden england :chug:

rik 04-13-2006 06:56 AM

Meh, i've been with my girlfriend for a year and 3 months today, being in a relationship is awesome.

She doesn't really like my maiden t-shirts which picture Eddie though. And she's constantly going on at me about the fact that one day I will have a tattoo of Eddie.

crag 04-13-2006 07:18 AM

/expects that Maiden England and LAD will be on the Golden Years DVD

Maiden england=best maiden live concert (recorded), hands down.

JamJar 04-13-2006 07:38 AM

I saw Maiden England in a used VHS shop once when I was first getting into Maiden but I didn't have enough money and I've never seen it anywhere since. :(
