I liked your review Badmoon, I haven't heard much from Government Mule. What are some good songs by them?

Badmoon 02-03-2005 07:19 PM

I gave you some on the FA

Fool's Moon
Bank's of The Deep End
What is Hip?
Lay of the Sunflower
John the Revelator
Bad Little Doggie

I gave Keith a shot but it's too fuzzy for people to recognize him. Could you please not call me "lunchy" in the future? :p

I would be glad to send you some songs, an album if necessary.

Oh I forgot you don't have AIM.

thickasabrick 02-03-2005 07:33 PM

I might as well get AIM, my MSN hasn't been working for weeks. Where do I go to get it?

Check out the quote.

I have just discovered a perfect album, by my standards.

New Riders of the Purple Sage - s/t

Seriously, every song is extremeley catchy, and I enjoy each one of them. The instrumental and vocal work is sensational. Everything is just wonderful.

I came really close to buying that album, then I didn't. Don't remember what I bought instead, but I've been meaning to go buy it ever since.

Go to the "Angus Young most entertaining guitarist" thread
there you see a serious case of the mental disease we call fanboyism

thickasabrick 02-03-2005 07:57 PM

I'm so glad all the regulars in this thread type well...I'd hate having to read barely coherent posts. I got AIM now, I don't know how to find anyone though. How does trading stuff work, do I have to send a file in return because I don't have any albums on my computer.

I tried entering that Angus Young most entertaining blah blah thread, but that one n00b was just to annoying. I do find Angus Young very entertaining though.

He just told me that Pete Townshend stole his act from Hendrix and Page, which is completely wrong. Those two took their acts from Townshend, Townshend was well known for it before those two even hi the big rock scene.

SongforJeffrey16 is my name, if that's what you mean. Do you just add buddies by typing in their name or is there something more confusing.

And I would love some Gov't Mule songs JPJ.

Badmoon 02-03-2005 08:01 PM

Trade them on yousendit.com, so we can all share :(

Page didn't have an act until Zeppelin, he was basically just a studio guitarist until the Yardbirds...and even then he didn't put on much of a show visually. Hendrix didn't make a big scene until 67. Townshend did come first, I haven't seen him play live in the sixties really though, I'm just assuming his style was the same as the seventies.

He was doing the windmill since the band came out pretty much. My Generation basically calls for it in any live performance.

and the band came out by at least 1965, i'm thinkin 64 though, Three years before Jimi came out in 67

The album My Generation was released in 65. It might be a stretch to say he was doing the Windmill before that though. I don't think he ever did it as The Detours or The High Numbers.

Attention: n00b alert in the Angus Younh thread. Officer down. Requesting backup.

yeah he definitely has to do it every performance of my generation. and he clearly did it on the smothers brothers show on the kids are alright and undoubtably before then since that performance is from 1967.
