I don't play guitar :upset:

btoto 03-22-2005 05:57 PM

I can die for the Unforgiven II. Too bad, the guys (our band) never wanted to cover it.

:upset:

MXican, what's so bad about NOT playing guitar???

Six Foot Revolver 03-22-2005 05:57 PM

can anyone play to live is to die? you never really realize how deep of a song that is until you learn how to play it or until someone close dies (then you get the poem)

I've never tried to play it, but I've always loved the song. By far my favorite 'tallica instrumental.

I can play it except for that acoustic part at the beginning and end.

6stringslinger 03-22-2005 11:25 PM

1.Blackened
2.Sanitarium
3.For Whom The Bell Tolls
4.Disposable Heros
5.Master of Puppets

thelittledrummerboy 03-23-2005 12:00 AM

No real outstanding favourites. The one I play the most is Creeping Death on live binge. It's very hard to get the timing right on drums.

6stringslinger 03-23-2005 01:59 AM

SHHHHH don't tell anyone

I have just ran across about 11 different versions of "Junglessence" the bass solo by Robert Trujillo. I have the solos in Dallas,Indianapolis,Qubec, San Diego...etc

With all due respect to Rob a couple of the solo's where great but I think he may have nervous or a bit tired on some of them. I think his strength is more playing with a band and not soloing. I have heard some of Newteds solo's and they were much better in terms of structure. Rob sounded as if he was losing his concentration during some of these solos making them sound real sporadic. Newsted of course probablly has more experience playing solo's than Rob.

He(Rob) can definately defeat me in soloing on his worst day!! I was kind of disappointed when he did not do one in Columbus last year, but he kicked a** anyway.
I imagine when you play 200+ shows it can be difficult to sound 100% every night.

Perhaps his(Rob) solo ability will be stronger the next time out

I seen Rob play Junglessence in Dublin last year and I was completely blown away by it. I have the mp3 (legally acquired) of it :)

I think he had a hand in writing a bit of it, probably one of the only things they let him contribute to
