Because it's an amazing book. It's written in like that old language yet it's easy to understand. But it's just a really good book too. I think I'm gonna read the other two even though they're not going to be as cool as reading about hell.
Thank You For Smoking is excellent, I saw it in theatres.
oh, i see what your saying. i just don't really think like that. i personally just don't see much point in reading some guy's made up vision of hell because it is well written. there is just so much real stuff out there that i want to learn about first. i just finished "diplomacy" by henry kissinger, which was amazingly good. now i'm debating between "the history of the peloponnesian war" by thucydides and "on killing" by lt. col. dave grossman. |
The Inferno is just good to read, because like the Bible, people allude to it alot. It's alot easier to understand poetry, and "flowery" writing when you've read alot of "classics" persay, because lots of authors now make references too them, that would otherwise be lost.
|
very good point. but taking into account time constraints, i just don't find it to be a very good use of my time. i would rather focus on "classic" writers more grounded in reality like aristotle, machiavelli, hobbes, locke, ect. and i have read the Bible, being of infinitely more importance than the inferno.

What do you mean grounded in reality? Every piece of great literature is grounded in reality, it's just some stories use fictional enviroments too get across their social/political issues. The inferno examines the seven deadly sins and other such nonsense, it's basically just a poetic commentary on the evils of our lives. |
it seems like coke in the pussy should do something... because coke up the nose works.
why not in the pussy? |
because, taking coke through the nose asborbs it, into your nose mucous ****.
if things in the vag were absorbed then all girls would walk around smelling like fish. |
ah makes sense, i just figured they were absorbed because of the std thing.
Tab out some of the songs for me then. You're making the same arguments Jared made. Then he sent me some Cynic song that was boring and really minimally technical.
Uh. Compare Cynic to NJ plz. |

Yeah, to the left.
|
That's the one I hate.
|
Oh I thought you meant the fat dude that was kind of behind him that crept up front after a few songs.
|
They both suck.

oh snap, turkey in a few hours
me so hungy!! |
would you use your skills to tab out something from cryonics?
I don't like cryonics that much and everything is mixed kind of low Any other requests might be taken //_- |
