choruses are off putting in music
no not necessarily. my main beef with sdre is how they put THE EXACT SAME THING TWICE. it's not even like, putting in three hundred choruses. it's playing the exact same two-three minutes over again, with basically or completely the exact same such structure and emotion. there's not even any climaxes or whatever. imagine on Song About an Angel if the track was like half acoustic or clean, and then exploded. or if say... anything happened save for the same thing twice?

it really sucks they have to suck so bad like that. because they obviously know how to come up with awesome bits. they just tend to "hey let's play them to death so no one will ever bother play through any of our albums twice in a row, because we've done it for them already", and think that it's an awesome idea. you know like The Doors, Sublime and Blind Melon having reunions without their respective lead singers and 99% of the bands.

Iluvatar 04-21-2009 12:35 AM

i think you are tackling music too methodically and picking it apart too much with that approach.

christsimpson 04-21-2009 12:36 AM

no no. pretty sure I just want to *choose* when to use the repeat button, and not have the musicians do it for me.

hismajestythepope 04-21-2009 12:39 AM

Stupid discussion, sup?

Iluvatar 04-21-2009 12:41 AM

hismajestythepope 04-23-2009 07:28 PM

I used to in like 8th grade lol.

I binged on them hard this past winter, then I got my new computer and need to rip that CD still haha.

RetiredAt21 04-23-2009 07:29 PM

I love cheesy **** like Cold Like December and I Hate Myself.

hismajestythepope 04-23-2009 07:30 PM

Word.

Cold Like December is the band responsible for getting me into skramz so props.

RetiredAt21 04-23-2009 07:31 PM

I Hate Myself was the band that really got me into emo/skramz.

christsimpson 04-24-2009 01:24 AM
I've been listen to Cold Like December a lot the past couple of days.
Excerpts From The Note Wrapped Around The Brick I Put Through Your Window is sooooooooo good.

got into them rather late though. so they didn't get me into emo nor skramz. think it was like getting into Hüsker Dü (pre-emo) and Antioch Arrow (pre-screamo) that made me investigate these genres. first bands would probably be Mineral and uh Saetia.

good times. and still good. also I'm listening to CLD right now. forgive the rant.

RetiredAt21 04-24-2009 07:18 AM

Does anyone like Dear Diary I Seem To Be Dead?

hismajestythepope 04-25-2009 01:03 PM

No but I like About Depth.

Except band needs drums badly.

Also, Kanaris is a kind of cool skramz band, for having been mostly 15-16 year olds.
