This whole incident was a long time ago, who the hell cares anymore?
The way I see it, Megadeth are progressing in a much better way than Metallica are right now.

Let me put it clearer:
Megadeth's last 2 albums=Good,
Metallica's last 2 album=hmmm...?

jaymz_is_god 03-21-2005 04:04 PM

You can't really say who is progressing better than who. Maybe the music Metallica have been playing recently is the direction they have wanted to go in. So they have been progressing the way they wanted to.

ThrashMaster27 03-21-2005 04:09 PM

No, it won't be Metallica. It says it'll be an East Coast/West Coast thing. It'll most likely be Anthrax. Maybe you'll get lucky and it'll be Overkill.

wrongnote85 03-21-2005 04:10 PM

megadeth and anthrax would be beyond awesome.any idea when they're going to release the dates and such?

MAthiAS 03-21-2005 04:12 PM
The guitarist in Megadeth said the fans will freak after they find out who they're touring with this summer.

Hmmm...
Dave has said they'll tour with ***** *******. Dream Theater is the only band I know of that fits that and is also planning to tour this summer.

Course, Dave said he was going to make amends with Metallica and Slayer, so possibly them, and I've heard him talk of a tour with Anthrax, Testament, and Exodus before too.

Any of those would make me cream my pants.

IAJP 03-21-2005 04:15 PM

If he toured with Exodus I would probbably scream.

btoto 03-21-2005 04:22 PM

I'd get a huge boner if I see 'deth and 'tallica headbang on the same stage !

mwhaaaa

What about Maiden???? Maybe it's them...

MAthiAS 03-21-2005 04:27 PM
Like Dave has posted, I must re-iterate and post my joy of what is in the work's for this summer tour there is alot of cool stuff going on and being talked about pertaining to this subject, and I can tell you at this point all parties involved are psyched to partake in this

There are no other shows down there; we come back to the states immediately following Australia.

We are almost ready to announce who are the acts for the summer tour over here, and from reading the (overwhelming) threads of who I should take out I think that some of you will be very pleased. Put it this way, it will be a East Coast/West Coast thing.

Next, I talked to Diamond Head last Sunday and asked if they were interested in playing on a second stage at the summer festival over here and they were stoked. Send them your thoughts if you want them to come over; they have only ever played one show here in the states and that was in Wisconsin I recall.

As most of you are surely aware from Dave's post's, there are a lot of cool thing's in the work's - none of which can be spoken of at the moment, but once all is solidified, you know it will be revealed. All of us are very excited about what is in the works, I believe you will be as well once they are revealed.
Everything I could dig up from the Deth forums. Not too much information there, but sounds exciting.

Christ I hope it is. I've got tickets to see Maiden and it says there are more bands TBC. I heard a rumour it could be Megadeth. I will actually cream if it is them.

MAthiAS 03-21-2005 04:30 PM
If he toured with Exodus I would probbably scream.
He did it on the first NA tour, so its definitely possible again.
What about Maiden???? Maybe it's them...
I doubt Deth will go on Ozzfest.

Crap, I voted Lifeson for that very reason, sorry! :upset:

Huber 03-21-2005 07:42 PM

I was looking on tour dates for next year to see when the next time Megadeth was coming around here was. It had Exodus as the band playing with them.

MAthiAS 03-22-2005 03:20 PM

teh bumpage

btoto 03-22-2005 03:35 PM

Oh, God ! I haven't been here for 24 hours and there are only 3 posts???

Where the hell is everyone???

Five Magics 03-22-2005 07:08 PM

I own every Megadeth album but have none of the remasters except for KIMB which wasnt part of that set anyway. Im thinking of getting a remastered album, probably 'So far, So good, So what'...because I know that the album can sound much better remastered, what do you all think?

ForiegnPenguin 03-22-2005 07:24 PM

I have 'So far, So good, So what' and 'Rust in Peace' remastered and they both sound great. So I would say buy the set.

MAthiAS 03-22-2005 07:26 PM

Buy SFSGSW, that's probably the biggest difference in quality. Then buy your favorite albums for the extra tracks.

Deth 03-23-2005 10:48 AM

wrongnote85 03-23-2005 11:52 AM

SFSGSW owns. so much better that the original.

MAthiAS 03-23-2005 02:50 PM

If they were on Ozzfest they'd probably already be announced... though I guess its still possible.

btoto 03-23-2005 03:05 PM

Hey, those who have RIP remastered, how are Poland's solos???

But don't say Marty's are better......you are probably used to hear Marty's.
I want something like: "yea here Chris messes up, here plays killer, here repeats himself too much...blah blah"

thanks :thumb:

Huber 03-23-2005 03:19 PM

In Cisco today, we have a cool sub, and we get to play music loud. The guy in charge of the music is playing the whole Rust In Peace album. YAY!

i like poland's solos on it.

is it because they're demo tracks that the whole "tone" is different?

IAJP 03-23-2005 03:24 PM

Poland's solos are better in my opinion.

IAJP 03-23-2005 04:30 PM

It's true that Poland's solos give a new lease of life,
particularly songs like Rust In Peace.
Oh yeah, does anyone notice how punchy the snares in the Poland edition of that song are?
I was shocked!

Sleeper 03-23-2005 04:39 PM

I seem to like Poland and Martys solos the same.

MAthiAS 03-23-2005 04:51 PM

/also likes Marty more

MAthiAS 03-23-2005 04:55 PM

Fuck!!! That fucker put Schuldiner and Friedman in the same fucking poll!!!

Deth 03-23-2005 04:58 PM

He got my vote.

MAthiAS 03-23-2005 05:04 PM

Marty will most likely get through, but Chuck needs all the help he can get.

IAJP 03-23-2005 05:17 PM

I had to vote Robbie Krieger,
Believe me, he needs it more than Friedman needs it!

MAthiAS 03-23-2005 05:24 PM

I honestly cannot decide between Chuck and Marty. I absolutely love both of them. Chuck is more influential, but Marty's more technical... and they both make/made sick music.

MAthiAS 03-23-2005 05:54 PM

He started the band Death and basically the whole genre of death metal. Their first album was pretty brutal, but later in Death's career they moved more towards progressive death (download Voice of the Soul and you'll see), great stuff all throughout their career. Chuck was the only original member, they went through lots of lineup changes. He died in I think 1997 of a brain tumor.

IAJP 03-23-2005 05:58 PM

Death are a great band.

Huber 03-24-2005 03:31 PM

Didn't know if you guys knew, but I was at the 'Deth forums and they're having polls for songs to go on there Greatest Hits album. So there gunna make a greatest hits album. I guess that's cool. I was hoping for another new album, but meh.
