The hidden piano intro for Bloodmeat is actually a lot better than I had expected.
Oh man I've gotten word of a potential tour and it is lolololeriffic, one of the oddest combinations of bands in a long time.
Who is it? |
Don't want to say, but it involves two really gay bands and Protest and another awesome band and it doesnt "fit" at all.
|
A Day to Remember, Protest the Hero, The Devil Wears Prada, and Silverstein.
Every band but Silverstein played a great show. EDIT: Silverstein is the only band I can't think of that I would label as "gay." |

I just said the bands. I'm surprised Cocaine finds a band on that bill that's awesome that's not Protest the Hero. |

If that show happens, I am certainly going.

Word is it might (I told John Hanson before because he's my staff bro).
I dont want to name bands just in case but it's a tour planned already and each headliner gets to take one band. The bands each headliner wants to take is lol and random. I think it's just Canada but idk. |
tdwp are awesome you phillestine
|
Its all about ticket sales bro.
|
I'm apparently a retard for thinking you were talking about the tour that Protest the Hero is currently on?
Wow, it takes a lot to be mentally challenged around these parts. |

It's not your fault.

So has anyone here heard PTH's EP, "A Search for Truth"?
It's laughable how different they are now. |

I got it off LimeWire.
|
I have two copies of the 7" somewhere.
And those two songs rule tbh. The stuff they did before that EP, now that's another story. |
I have two copies of the 7" somewhere.

Yeah i picked up a search for truth in the months leading up to fortress searching for a leak; instead finding their/this early ep. It really hasn't gotten that much play, a little under 30 listens. Its along the same mentality as ACUOS(i started listening to PTH on the re-release of A Calculated Use of Sound album) release but a tiny bit less mature, worse quality. Matter of fact im not sure the last time i gave ACUOS a spin..

I'd say there's a difference between the 7" and the EP. The EP shows the new metal influence, mixing Maiden'esque **** with post-hardcore, while the 7" is more traditional punk/hardcore. The in between was noticeable, though, going from the 7" to Break the Chain to Asperity of Sin (both were off a compilation) to the EP, you really hear it.
It's really fun to just listen to their progression, sometimes when I get bored I throw on the random early stuff (Just Defy, Break the Chain, Asperity of Sin, 7"), then the EP, then Kezia and Fortress. Toss in the really rough early **** (Take and Take, 5th Commandment, All the Time) and it's just insane to think of how far they've come in like, 6 or 7 years. And yeah, they are wicked young now, but they've been a band since they were 14. |
I havent heard their early stuff but kezia and fortress are pretty much constantly playing while im driving. I like to blast it while im driving round town. Makes a change for the people walking the streets to hear something other than dodgy crunk blaring from a car
|
heard 'em, not bad

Same here. I've had Fortress in my stereo since I got it early February and haven't taken it out since. |
