Yes.
That's exactly what I was talking about. It sucks.
Ok whatever.
Can you guys recommend me some old-school Gangsta-style rap? I like stuff like Compton's Most Wanted, Cypress Hill, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, Ice Cube but I only have a few songs so I need more songs of that same style.
Well, here are albums you need to have by those artists:

Cypress Hill - Black Sunday
Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
Dr. Dre - The Chronic
N.W.A. - Straight Outta Compton

Hmm what else. Well, how do you feel about 2pac? He's pretty important. Are you specifically interested in West Coast shit, or just anything gangsta?

raus 10-20-2006 03:42 PM

Also, get Dr. Dre - 2001.

Interstate 10-20-2006 04:17 PM

Just recently checked out Big Punisher. Man this guy was insane. Poor guy to die from being too fat. Not very gangster considering most people get shot. Massively talented, amazing flow. Just ordered Capital Punishment off amazon based on a few songs that I'd heard from it. Can't wait.

Oh yeah Tupac's one of my fave, how could I forget...I basically like anything gangsta so long as it's old school. Thanks for all of these.

what do you think of Akon raus?

raus 10-20-2006 09:09 PM

Never heard.

sgrevs 10-21-2006 04:44 AM

Akon is crap from what I have heard of him, but that's all singles I think.

raus 10-21-2006 05:05 AM

Eh, you don't like Lil' Wayne, Akon probably rules.

raus 10-21-2006 05:08 AM

Oh, he's on the Rick Ross album, yeah, he's annoying.

sgrevs 10-21-2006 09:31 AM

hes not a rapper, hes a singer, and that r&b singing style often bores me greatly.

The Jungler 10-21-2006 09:38 AM

His voice gets pretty annoying so its pretty hard to listen to his solo stuff. However, I did like him on that Young Jeezy single a while back.

POINTLESS5448 10-21-2006 11:37 AM

rick ross is one of the few big rappers that i like right now. i dont know why he isnt that much different from anyone else but i dont know i just like 305 rap. my mom is going to try to get him to do endorsements for the boys and girls clubs. how cool would that be.

LF96 10-21-2006 03:33 PM

Akon had a pretty cool track some time ago, called Ghetto. It featured verses of both Tupac and B.I.G. (no new ones though). I still listen to that track now and then, Akon only does the choruses on it, which is a plus.
That Lonely track was however one of the most awful r&b-songs in recent history.

The Jungler 10-21-2006 09:48 PM

Lonely really wasn't that bad.

Interstate 10-22-2006 03:27 PM

Really diggin' Boogie Down Productions at the moment. The original gangsta group.

Simple Man 10-22-2006 04:33 PM

Doctor's Advocate comes out sooooooooon.

beso negro 10-22-2006 07:32 PM

I was asking about Akon because I have the new cd (won't be released till nov.21). If you want it ask me.

Have you heard the song In Your Eyes by Akon? That song is amazing.

Still trying to find that Jay-Z album

raus 10-22-2006 07:40 PM

If you find Kingdom Come leaked, then get at me, I'd definitely appreciate that.
