^I doubt the new album will be anything like Still. I believe they once asked him during a spiral chat about that and he said something along the lines of that idea only being a thought but nothing certain. Maybe he will eventually do it...it'd be great. Same thing for his 'solo' tour he had mentioned. As of now, this upcoming tour includes the whole band...same lineup according to him.

Kage 10-28-2006 01:43 PM

I hope he doesn't go for the organic drum sound again.

misunderstood 10-28-2006 01:59 PM

Yeah and I hope they keep this album pretty safe. I'd hate to hear that it's been leaked like With Teeth was. It was quite difficult for me to keep from listening to any of the tracks..it was very tempting. :p:

Kage 10-28-2006 02:02 PM

I want to hear him do something totally different.

misunderstood 10-28-2006 02:09 PM

Me too. I'm really hoping the new album won't be much like With Teeth. Not that I disliked the album 'cause I thought it was pretty good and solid record. But I dont know, something new and different would be great. If not, I'd love to hear something that goes back to the Broken/TDS era.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-28-2006 02:41 PM

I'm trying to picture Trent in some other kind of musical envirnment, but all I can see is NIN.

What comes to mind for you, Kage?

Kage 10-28-2006 02:42 PM

Same thing, really. I can't see him doing anything other than NIN-esque material, even though he's worked on other projects (Lost Highway soundtrack, etc.), he'll always be trapped inside NIN.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-28-2006 02:50 PM

I think his personal style fits in with industrial so well that I can't fathom it sounding good in any other setting...Look at Mike Patton; his frenetic style works well for Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, etc, but in Peeping Tom, it sort of sounded like he was harnessing his inner 'jumpdafukkup' and in turn, he created crap material, albeit his record label's best-selling album in existence. :-/

JamJar 10-28-2006 06:28 PM

I'm so going to see them on the European tour. I also can't believe that the new album is predicted to come out as early as April.

repcak 11-04-2006 12:22 PM

NIN tickets will be on sale on monday... 6.nov.2006 :D

i hope i will get them again ... though they are playing in a small hall and the sound-quality won't be as good as last time (open air).

misunderstood 11-04-2006 12:50 PM

Lucky you. I still have to wait around and see when they'll be coming around here again. I can't believe they're touring again though..I just saw them this past summer. I'm just now recovering from all my NIN spendings I've done since they started touring for WT back in '05! Not that I'm complaining though. :p
I wonder how much they'll be between the release of the dvd and the new album. I doubt they'll be out together.

bwnstl 11-04-2006 02:39 PM

Yeah, I saw them last October. I can't believe it's been over a year since I saw them. What a great show...

Montana 11-04-2006 04:50 PM

I'm so excited about this album. And I hope he does a North American tour next year, I really want to see them live very badly.
I also can't believe that the new album is predicted to come out as early as April.
that would be awesome.

repcak 11-04-2006 05:16 PM

i'm a little bit confused... do we get a dvd, a new album or a new live album?

Kage 11-04-2006 05:26 PM

DVD of the With Teeth tour, and new studio album in '07.

repcak 11-05-2006 05:47 AM

why a second dvd? the last one is great... well, does he need now money or what?

1) With Teeth (after 4yrs) ... its ok, but then
2) his fanbase where you have to pay
3) looooong tour
4) new studio album (well, its ok)
5) new dvd... what the hell?!

misunderstood 11-05-2006 06:00 AM

Who knows why he's doing another one, but I'm looking forward to it. The teaser that was posted a while back looks great! Awesome quality..very crisp and clear. I think it might still be up over at nin.com actually.

repcak 11-05-2006 08:25 AM

the last dvd has a great quality too... i don't care

Kage 11-05-2006 01:23 PM

Well DVD's are cool to release after a tour so fans who saw the band can have a memior and fans who didn't catch a show can start to re-create the experience.

repcak 11-05-2006 04:50 PM

well. so at least i can hope it would be the vienna show which was great :D but they didn't record it :upset:

repcak 11-06-2006 04:30 AM

tickets are online.... they wanna have 38€ for this show in this ****ty place
for students its less, but still 35€

now i really don't know if i should buy it, cause on the one hand i already saw them live and the place has not the best sound quality so they won't be better than last time... i will pay 35€ only to see them, but i know it won't be THAT great as last time... hm... what shall i do?

bwnstl 11-06-2006 11:33 AM

It's NIN, is there any other choice?

misunderstood 12-08-2006 07:58 AM

Not that great a cover, I thought but whatever. Trent kinda looks like Bigfoot, heh.

Kage 12-08-2006 08:14 AM

Thanks for the update, misunderstood! Great tracklist. I'm very happy that it's heavy on With Teeth material.

punintended_42 12-09-2006 11:42 PM

I just heard about the DVD the other day and I can't wait to get it. I'm more excited for that than I am for Christmas. I went to the show on 6.18 in Saratoga, NY. It was absolutely amazing. Trent is still amazing after all these years! Love him!

magicbus 12-09-2006 11:55 PM

I kinda wish they had "A Warm Place" right before Eraser there :p

But that looks like a pretty sweet tracklist. I might have to check that out.

deadinholywood 12-10-2006 05:33 AM

Gah! Right Where It Belongs and Somewhat Damaged....I need this!!!

The Real Frances 01-01-2007 07:29 PM

NIN, another band I've collected everything of.
All great albums
Always good live

Thasis 01-09-2007 01:26 PM

^ Same as me

This is just another great thread that needs revival. NIN is the shiznit!

Kage 01-09-2007 01:29 PM

I'm really anticipating their new album. Should be great.

Also, I've been listening to the Fragile a lot lately.
