That is so scary.

Tiadonic Nissodance 12-30-2005 05:35 AM

Well that didn't last long,.

I agree. Too bad your in that category.

uh Trea I was jking about pictures. But I hear Gav has some. He may or may not direct connect them to me or AIM. lol JK.

So I saw those brushfire pics :amaze: . Wow thats crazy. In california they always seem to happen out in rural areas or on the slopes of some really rich community.

I fell out of the back of a car couple days ago. I've had some trouble walking. So I'll probobly be on MX all day. What's going on with everyone else? moaner where have you been?

kevbud187 12-30-2005 12:10 PM
Well that didn't last long,.
omg. You know a sure way to get banned. Go into S&L in the lyrical challenges and make fun of Subtle Dagger. In fact you don't even have to make fun of him. Just make a noob post or something or talk about everyone being emo. Banned so fast your head will spin.

One time in lyrical challenges. I posted some fairly good lyrics. And everyone else was posting all this weird hippie crap that made no sense at all and had absolutley no poetic devices in it at all. So I pissed off Subtle telling him that he sucked and he went and got all his friends to vote me last and DeFelon first. Oh it was glorious.

that was back when my user title was "S&Ls reigning n00b"
:chug:
good times good times

Yea, I used to live in Anaheim Hills, CA and we had some killer Santa Ana winds one year that brough flames through the valley behind our neighborhood. They got a pretty good handle on it and the flames decided to double back to the areas it jumped with the help of the wind. Luckily it didn't get to our neighborhood!!!!

HOW THE HELL did you fall out of hte back of a car!?! :p (I can understand if you were standing on the back of a jeep like me and fell off like i did 2 years ago, but a car?)

Trigger_003 12-30-2005 03:36 PM

Haha that reminds me of the time my mates were playing corners in the back of the bus
Trea: "Hey guys, you do realise that you are crashing into the emergency exit window every time we turn right, don't you?"
mate: "Haha, how would you feel if you fell out the window of the bus while playing corners and got crushed by the wheel?"
Trea: "...pretty dead actually."

But yeah those fires were absolutely mad. They covered something like 250000 hectares in ACT and 1.9million hectares in the cross-border complex within Vic and NSW. If I remember rightly, the pure heat of the fires were unbareable a km infront of the head, and the heat of the fire alone was tossing stuff the size of large logs forward...
Big Desert Fire - December 2002
Lightning in the North West caused two fires - one in the Big Desert Wilderness Park and another in the adjoining Wyperfield National Park on 17 December. Fanned by dry fuel and poor weather conditions, these fires joined to eventually burn 181,400 hectares.

Eastern Victorian (Alpine) Fires 2003
Eighty seven fires were started by lightning in the north east of Victoria on 8 January 2003. Eight of these fires were unable to be contained and joined together to form the largest fire in Victoria since the 1939 "Black Friday" bushfires. Burning for 59 days before being contained, the fires burnt over 1.3 million hectares, over 9,000 livestock...
That's for one state alone (the ones in ACT and NSW were also really bad) in just a couple of months. Mad.

Aes820 12-30-2005 04:09 PM

I remember standing in the front yard of my parents place with my old man.
There was a noise which sounded alot like a helicopter directally above us, I look up, but there was no helicopter.
Just a heap of chunks of tree bark, branches, bits of scrap metal and all sorts of junk being carried through the air in some kind of fire-forced mini tornado.

It went straight over our house, came to ground maybe 50 metres up the street took out a couple of gum trees, went straight through a few fences and tore sections off peoples rooves.

It was these fireballs that caused alot of problems. As they did alot of damage to property and could easily jump many hundreds of metres infront of the actual fire front. Causing spot fires and making the fire so much harder to contain.

Trigger_003 12-30-2005 04:19 PM

Man, that would've been scary as to be that close to that. My dad and I were seriously considering going up to Bright and fighting the front there because we've both had fire ground training.

There's a pretty high fire danger today. I live on an 8 acre bush block so that's not a good thing. We spent most of yesterday just clearing out dead ferns/blackberries and moving my horse's hay away from the house... all that kind of stuff. I hope we don't get any fires starting near here :/.

N Chris, what happened to the early start (or is this early :p)?

kevbud187 12-30-2005 06:45 PM

well we were err.... borrowing christmas decorations. And uh the people we were borrowing them from came outside, so I jumped in the trunk of the SUV and yelled drive. We got up to 15mph in about 3seconds. And I couldn't hold on. I've got a pretty gnarly scrape. And a nastly bruise.

btw we were on the news they thought it was a hate crime.lol

kevbud187 12-30-2005 06:46 PM

If I don't post for a while its because they found fingerprints.

Trigger_003 12-30-2005 06:53 PM

I look forward to downloading it when I wake up in the morning.

'Night jam session.

Trigger_003 12-31-2005 01:16 AM

Haha, horray for putfile!

My mates are crazy too... but we don't steal or anything like that - just random stacks ons (rugby piles), standing ovations at nothing in the middle of a highly public area, Mexican "AHHH!"s (like the mexican wave, but with very loud "AHH!"s), dancing in cinemas during the musical sections of the movie, pointing/looking/murmering in amazement up at the sky in a group one by one just as the pedestrian lights are about to go green, so by the time the lights have changed, everyone else is looking up, trying to work out what the hell we were so facinated with... as we quietly avoid the crowd who were supposed to be crossing the road...
or I jump out of my car whilst stopped at a busy intersection, scrummage around in the shrubs in the median strip and gladly pull out my hand, waving around a $20 note (which I were holding as I jumped out) and triumphly get back into the car as the drivers around us are like "woah - daaymmn lucky kid right there!"
etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.
Good times :).

G;night man

kevbud187 12-31-2005 01:24 AM

oh it wont be up in the morning I personally dont have the file. It's at my video production studio dude guys house. Ya ill get her up soon though. Hate to dissapoint. Trea you are too random.

Why, thank you Kev. But I do learn from the best... my drummer.

Observe.

An old peanut farm with five cola gold tongues
Spelt with a pinstripe all through his lungs
I looked for a door but the prince wasn’t there
Giving trees motive to drive everywhere
An architect sat atop a balloon.
The cat went ballistic and sailed to the moon.
She had her first kiss with a mint paper plane
The floor didn’t know what time the bus came.
A sly plastic cup and a caper with pimples
Sat on a gob smack and ate copper Pringles
Screw you llama llama, I can rhyme too
I can be random, see; fiddle nut glue!

Please don't ever say I'm too random again.

... just a few of my friends :p.

the song competiton might just work, as log as half the people who said they would enter

10 people might make a sensible limit, what with voting and all

Whats the pole limit? If worst comes to worst we have seperate threads and join the winners of those threads together and make a new thread.
EDIT: or... is there a way I could have mod powers for the thread and have them for just about a week?

Trigger_003 12-31-2005 01:53 PM

Or we could always set up an external voting system that enables more people to enter... like they did for all those "top 100 mxers" style polls a while back.
So what pills is she into?
Haha, bit like that eh?

Happy new year everyone! Woo - 2006!

okay, would there be a way to make it so that you can't vote twice?
