Opeth
Dream Theater
Metallica (depending on who you ask)

All those bands have talent, but they are ridiculously overrated here and I don't really listen to any of them on a regular basis save Metallica.

Only that album, which isn't very good. The death/grind stuff is much better.

Early Carcass (Reek of Putrefaction, Symphonies of Sickness) is grind, then they did some death metal (Necroticism: Descanting the Insalubrious), and then melodic death metal (Heartwork, maybe Swansong, I've not heard it). Excellent band on all counts I've heard so far. Don't listen to Dargon :)

When it comes to styles I'll listen to Dargon because he knows exactly what he's talking about. I just discount his opinions :p

I think Heartwork is great melodic death, just as good as their older stuff, that's all.
