I like other bands more than Maiden... despite what my previous post implied...

/prepares flame shield for saying that Tool are my favourite band.

PAJJ 04-08-2006 02:39 PM

 Tool better than Maiden????
Sorry not in this world.

Maiden are my favourite band, live and studio.

Josh 04-08-2006 02:41 PM

Maiden ftw.
although i tend to go through phases of not listening to them a lot, very occasionally i'll go away from metal completely for a couple of days.

Stormrider 04-08-2006 02:46 PM

And what will you listen to in the meantime ?

Josh 04-08-2006 02:49 PM
And what will you listen to in the meantime ?
a range of stuff.
for example, my mp3 player fairly regularly goes from, say, Bodom to Bob Marley, or Maiden to Johnny Cash.

i listen to quite a lot of rock, punk, punk rock, pop-punk, etc, as my girlfriend only listens to a little bit of metal. and she forces me to listen to RnB as well, which i'll just about tolerate at her house, but no-where else.

crag 04-08-2006 02:50 PM

I tend to stray away from Maiden every now and again, usually when i discover a new band, i always come running back to Maiden though, their music has longevity, i never seem to get bored of it.

i tend to do that.
today, i've been on a bit of a power metal binge, listening to Lost Horizon and Savatage all afternoon.
although i was listening to Green Day's International Superhits! earlier, i quite like their early stuff.

JamJar 04-08-2006 02:58 PM

I also tend to go away from Maiden and come back. Recently, my Maiden loving has been totally rekindled.

Some days ill feel me less likeing maiden, and ill be like sh!t, ive put too much time and money into this band to get bored of them. Then ill put on a song i havent listened to in a while (ie.number of the beast) and then ill realize why i loved them so much.

When doesn't Nicko look like he's having a good time?

Lord Abortion 04-09-2006 08:43 AM

Maiden will always be my favourite band...unless something incredible happens and there's a better band born.

My top 5 bands are

Maiden
Dream Theater
Iced Earth
Cannibal Corpse
Cradle of filth.

NP-the lot from that covers CD-Can I play with Madness?

temporary 04-09-2006 08:47 AM

Ever since my freind bought Live After Death (and subsequently lent it to me) my Maiden loving has been at an all time high.

Np: Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden (Live From LAD)

JamJar 04-09-2006 09:14 AM

Live album wise, LAD is their best, followed by RIR. LAD is amazing, highlights would have to Rime Of The Ancient Mariner and Running Free (For the hilarity of Bruce)

pep 04-09-2006 11:58 AM

Is A real live/dead one any good?
