what you looking forward to?

TojesDolan 06-09-2008 06:12 PM

ATM 06-09-2008 06:14 PM

Hey Tojes.

Congrats Petey, 3-0 :D

At least USA tied Argentina last night 0-0.

Riva 06-09-2008 06:14 PM

I'm hanging out for Dawn of War II, Warhammer Online and Too Human (though that means I'll have to buy an Xbox360 too, dammit).

EDIT: Did they change the US' qualifying path? I remember reading something about it, after Australia/Europe complained that you guys had it easy.

masscows 06-09-2008 06:16 PM

they're finally releasing a DOWII after like 50 expansions to the first one?

beso negro 06-09-2008 06:16 PM

Cool. I got tickets to the advance screening of Mongol here in Aus, but I won't be in town at the time, dammit.

Three you mean, and they're changing some of the basics this time, so it makes sense release it as a version 2.

masscows 06-09-2008 06:22 PM

I stopped keeping track after the first one, I just know they added more and more races. I played it when it first came out and didn't think much of it. The concept is cool but the production team obviously didn't give a **** about fixing balance or bugs at a reasonable rate.

I haven't been following what games are going to be released soon but I'm looking forward to SCII (which won't be released until 2010 lol), Soul Calibur 4 and GoW 2.

Riva 06-09-2008 06:25 PM

Yeah, knowing Blizzard, Starcraft II will be released in time for us all to re-upgrade our computers. Hey guys, we decided to use Direct X 15.0 now!

ATM 06-09-2008 06:27 PM

I never played the first Starcraft but I was a total Warcraft nerd.
I never played the first Starcraft but I was a total Warcraft nerd.
Yeah, I am still more of a Warcraft nerd than Starcraft nerd. Diablo was my first love though. I had to wait for Diablo II to come out forever, it seemed. Especially since I didn't have internet access at home till 2002, so I had to keep checking out the progress on Diablo II at school.
someone answer this. it will only take 10 secs.
I didn't know you were asking a question. The lack of a ? threw me off.

Holy crap man, we missed out on some rep? Damn.

Well, to show that I'm the bigger man here, I'm giving you some rep. Hell, I'll get everyone to give you some rep.

I ruined by prospects of a good future by wasting 8th, 9th and 10th grade playing Warcraft III. I had this like, vision of the ultimate pro gamer rock star life style so I played all the time trying to become awesome. I was good but nowhere near top-notch by any means, and I eventually just got bored/frustrated with it and quit.

Pebster49 06-09-2008 06:38 PM

Starcraft was cool till Warcraft III came out, the 3-D graphics was enough for me, plus the heros which was an awesome concept to put in a stratigy game like that.

masscows 06-09-2008 06:40 PM

Starcraft is a way better game than Warcraft 3, it's just not as accessible so to speak.
Diablo was my first love though. I had to wait for Diablo II to come out forever, it seemed. I'm already bored of it though.

I played Warcraft III incessantly in my final year of high school. Fortunately the major part of the assessment was finished when I first bought it.

ATM 06-09-2008 06:53 PM

I played serious WC3 a few years ago, to the point where my friends and I were ranked in the top 30's on the east coast in 3v3.

Riva 06-09-2008 06:56 PM

Yeah, my mate and I used to be awesome at 2v2. But this was in Frozen Throne as well, when casters had gotten a bit of a buff.

TimJim 06-09-2008 06:57 PM

lol i pos'd beso

masscows 06-09-2008 06:58 PM

3v3 is srs business

I was in the top 20 in solo trying to qualify for either season 3 or 4 (don't remember) bnet season finals, then just got really frustrated with the game in general because I was a hormonally driven kid and always blamed everything but myself for my losses, so I just quit. Looking back on it, if I was more mature I probably would've been alot better because I'd learn better from my mistakes instead of just churning out solid games like a machine without much thought.

I was a pretty good 2v2 player too, one dude (who now plays poker professionally, I still talk to him sometimes) and myself were a solid orc/undead 2v2 league team.

My mate and I were a Human/Orc duo. I would churn out Priests with some Sorceresses, coupled with a Blood Mage and Archmage and eventually Gryphon Riders. He'd go Grunts and Shamans, and then eventually Taurens and Shamans, with enough Spirit Walkers to ressurect his losses and banish magic resistant/immune enemies for my forces to eat up.

Seriously: Inner Fire + Bloodlust or Banish + Inferno(?) + Blizzard is just great to pull off.
lol i pos'd beso
To be honest, I don't mind if people positively rep him either, I just thought the post was pretty lol-worthy.
