Would be cool if some guys commented. I'l return the favour if anyone else posts audio :)

and that bass drum head is hilarious

Chris 12-21-2005 06:55 AM
So I just designed my first draft for my bass drum head, opinions? The holes arn't definate, I thought they'd just look cool on the design.

I think I recreated the ITN news backdrop (from scratch) quite successfully.

Shame he retired though.

Trev 12-21-2005 07:04 AM

Haha thanks guys, I'll post pics of it when it arrives. :)
Shame he retired though.
Yeah. Although at least he went out with dignity, there was a lot of speculation that he would be moving to Sky News. Although he's still going to continue with Tonight With Trevor Mcdonald, so it's not all bad.

BetweenTheEchoes 12-21-2005 07:16 AM

So DBJ, when do you plan on coming out of the closet?

EDIT: I just read your title...*Tear* you already did.

Drum Phil 12-21-2005 07:31 AM

DBJ came out of the closet? *fetches roses and KY jelly* ;)

Drum Phil 12-21-2005 08:03 AM

They're also too hardcore for good music.
Ba ha ha ha, they'll be using that same slogan in a few years when Joey Jordison endorses viagra.

What does everyone think of the 21" AA Dry Ride, Compared to the 20" AAX Stage Ride - For ACDC/Guns N Roses/Nirvana/Greenday type stuff.

I hate AA dry rides, and you'd be better off with the AAX.

Well seeing as how your spectrum of music went from good to bad, I'd say you could get a Stage Ride or B8 Ride and you'd be equally happy.

Jezen 12-21-2005 01:23 PM

Bwaahaha!
I hate AA dry rides, and you'd be better off with the AAX.
Why? They are nice...It's the raw rides I can't stand.

I enjoy any kind of music, so don't flame me, I like Dream Theater to Kelly Clarkson.

puppet.master 12-21-2005 02:23 PM

should we take bets on how long till 20,000

Brokensticks 12-21-2005 02:23 PM

I don't think so

puppet.master 12-21-2005 02:28 PM

nice job editing quickly

Janeway 12-21-2005 02:30 PM

Oh my.
We presented our songs in English.
It was a sea of My Pussy Romance, Black Eyed Peas, and Blink 182.
I was last to go, and my teacher freaked the fuck out when she found out it was Ani DiFranco. She loved my interpretation of it, and I ended up having to explain how I came up with it to the slow ones who thought it was about her on vacation at a beach and being sad.
She begged me for a copy of the CD and now I'm officially her little pet.
Yeeha.

Undisco Kidd 12-21-2005 02:36 PM

I remember doing that in 6th grade. I did a Flaming Lips song. Everyone else was going Blink 182 and Limp Bizkit.

puppet.master 12-21-2005 02:54 PM

i did nothing else matters by metallica
a 3 page long write up on it and my teacher was so ****ing stupid

he said it was to short cause he was too goddamn stupid to notice the other pages so he told me to do another longer one
so i printed the EXACT same thing out and just put the last two pages on neon pink paper

when i handed it to him he said much better and gave me a B

stupid teachers i hate them so much

if gotten back at him for being such and imcompetent cockhole

he has a wife and daughter

and i ordered him a collection of bondage dvds to his house (bill me later)

four months later i had the balls to phone him up and ask if he liked the videos

surprisingly he yelled at me i then made some comment about his mother lastnight

Undisco Kidd 12-21-2005 02:58 PM

I did She Don't Use Jelly.

My report was like, 2 paragraphs. I just said that the Flaming Lips aren't always incredibly poetic, and that the song is just wacky and entertaining. A+

Ex-Hippie English Teacher = Awesome.

Janeway 12-21-2005 03:07 PM

You wrote reports on it?
We just had to stand up and speak about it.
We combined AP and English 12 classes this week. The English 12 teacher went crazy and killed herself or something stupid, and our school is too poor to hire a substitute for a week, so they pinned it on poor Miss J. She did the interpretations for a time filler, I guess.
It's been eventful.
Half of the kids in that class use L337 and wonder why they get 50's.

Undisco Kidd 12-21-2005 03:09 PM

I had to write a paper, play the song, and read it outloud.

an_original_name 12-21-2005 03:17 PM

my band played a killer of a gig on sunday night. it was at a place called "the snooty fox" in wakefield (England). there was only about 50 people there, but the atmosphere was amazing! we were the second band of 3 to play although we pretty much stole the show as the headlining band got unbelievably drunk and had to cut their set short because their guitarist was almost at the point of passing out. we got a proffesional quality dvd recording of it done too so i might put a clip of that on here at some point

puppet.master 12-21-2005 03:33 PM

all our class had to do was a paper on it but that was in grade 8

Panopticon 12-21-2005 04:10 PM

i had to do that in grade 7...i did good charlotte:upset:

I was so disgusting :smash:

styler 12-21-2005 04:56 PM

the 17 seconds of this totally blew me away, look at how young this kid is!
EDIT: woops forgot to post the video, http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7546058199531426643

Jezen 12-21-2005 05:16 PM

I like the trick at the end. Would be hard make the stick flip after a stick dribble.

styler 12-21-2005 05:31 PM

he flipped it the opposite way that makes sense too...most would flip the other end of the stick around
